Other Pirates / Zemina's Wonsiin2 music similarities
« on: March 25, 2016, 06:59:26 AM »
You know why Zemina's music is pretty decent?
Wonsiin 2/Adventure Kid plains theme is actually Wai Wai World 2's Password theme, but somewhat extended! (maybe it's from some Konami's MSX game originally, that also would mean that they have stolen the sound engine)
Maybe there's other stolen Konami songs in there? Who knows...

Pirate Talk / Kart Fighter - Top 8 actually real
« on: March 20, 2016, 05:42:46 PM »
I've got the 8th place as Peach in Kart Fighter. This scoreboard isn't fake! Not only that the game is the best bootleg ever, it isn't a shoddy crapleg job - it even includes a working scoreboard! here's the proof. The higher scores could be possible to achieve only with cheats or continues (there are 2 probably, I didn't count)

The last zero is off because it's actually an "O" letter. That means that the game probably only counts the 19284 part, without the last 0 (because it never changes and they slapped it to make the scores seem higher).
Could someone disassemble this and see how the score is counted and check that the whole scoreboard is programmed?

Pirated Work / Magic Jewelry + 2048 = this
« on: January 18, 2016, 09:56:21 AM »

Arrows - change gravity
Enter - choose a selection in the main menu
Escape - end the game, return to menu after Game Over

If you don't know what is 2048, you were living under a rock for 20 years. If you don't know what is Magic Jewelry - it's a NES bootleg Columns clone. So, what would be if these two games...
- had children?
- would be put in a blender?
- just were mixed?
Here's your answer. Use gravity to match 3 jewels of the same color, while listening to the Magic Jewelry soundtrack (and a Hwang Shinwei-style chiptune I made up for this game - hint - it's slower than the rest) Rack up epic combos and beat your friends' scores. 3 game modes included, but the Normal Mode is the full-fledged, most-featured mode - the rest stay at the same speed for the entire game.

Hacker Center / Guile's theme in SF2 Yoko
« on: October 11, 2015, 07:47:07 AM »
Hacking the Guile's theme to be the real thing instead of the track they "composed" for it. Would it be hard?
I want to listen to a rendition of Guile's theme in SF2. If I'm not mistaken, they also "composed" other tracks to replace character themes from SF2. Could we hack them back into Yoko's version?

2000-present / Panda Adventure - hidden track mysteries
« on: September 05, 2015, 05:48:24 AM »
Hummer Team picked some weird sources for the music in Panda Adventure.
We should try to recognize them all.
OK. Let's start with the info - we have discovered 4 tracks already.
Here they are:
20 - Titenic boss battle
25 - D.I.S.C.O by Ottawan (resemblance only)
27 - Ultima 7 Dead Bodies
2E - Aqualung by Jethro Tull

I recognized another track from the bunch:
2D - It's supposed to be from Uz, but I checked my shovelware CD with Uz on it, and it isn't from Uz.
Spoiler: click to toggle

It isn't an exact cover of it, but it resembles it somewhat - noticeably the ending is different.
It seems that rest of the tracks is original, but I can be mistaken.

So we have 5 tracks:
20 - Titenic boss battle
25 - D.I.S.C.O by Ottawan (resemblance only)
27 - Ultima 7 Dead Bodies
2D - The Games Factory MELRIPP1 (resemblance only)
2E - Aqualung by Jethro Tull

Send any ideas, I will include them in the list.

Famicom/NES dumps / Dumping games from "educational" multis
« on: May 26, 2015, 02:36:29 PM »
Is dumping every game as a ROM from the educational multis possible?
If it's possible, tell me the offsets of the educational games in Educational Computer 2000 and Asder PC-95.
I'm most interested in the Mario Paint clone from Asder PC-95.
Asder PC-95 ROM can be downloaded from maxzhou.
