Bootleg Bazaar / Does anybody want any Sachen multicarts?
« on: December 26, 2013, 04:36:42 PM »
I'm not sure if you're supposed to do this kind of thing here, but do any of you want them? Here's the link to them (they're on eBay):

Well, since you know I'm blocked, I'm having to you about here, to put it on there for me. I also found some information tieing together about this game and Vietnamese Crystal.

Well, basically this game seems to be a precursor to Vietnamese Crystal.

(video: {by DeliciousCinnamon} http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OA3YvXmMyMA)

Here's some proof that these might just be (for sure) very obviously similar.

1. Both games are made in Hong Kong.
I cannot find full proof for this game actually being made in Hong Kong, but it is said to by them. For Vietnamese Crystal, it kinda seemed obvious. For when it says "ELF" (小精靈) {Google still thinks that these days.}, it means "Little Creature" in the Hong Kong Chinese Traditional variant. (Note: The other Chinese Traditional variant is for Taiwan, that being why there is a such thing as "Taiwanese".) Back to the point, "寵物小精靈" is actually the Hong Kong name for Pokemon, or Pocket Monsters, if you will. So good proof, that I would say that this would be helpful information on there. So we know now, that it was specifically made in Hong Kong, in China.

2. If you look, it is said that the company who did the translation for this game was HC Translations, but it uncertain if it was for Vietnamese Crystal. I assume so, because the "item" phrases are very similar. Some other phrases as well. I swear though, that they made the horrible translated Pokemon Green (which by the way that game is needed to be put on the Wiki, as well), but I could be mistaken. I could have sworn though, I saw that being said on RomHacking.net (Note: If you could find it, it might be very too, because there similar pages of it, being that others have tried to do the project, as well.) So for that particular Pokemon Green, I can't say that they made as well, for sure.

But yeah, I would greatly appreciate it, if you people could makes the changes / info, and the new pages for: "Pocket Monsters Green Version" (Pokemon Green Engrish), "Pocket Monsters Gold Version" (Pokemon Hong Kong Gold Version), and "Pocket Monsters Crystal Version" (Pokemon Vietnamese Crystal).

Side note for Pokemon Green Engrish: It has MANY reproduction cartridges, all of which not made by the same person. Usually a bootleg game has a good bit of both the original publisher's version of the cartridge, and a good bit other people make reproduction cartridges for it, also (usually later, after being released in China). But here, I guess it so popular, that most all the original cartridges are gone, in which case makes it harder to find the image of the original.

*later post*
I think this cartridge here might be the original, or at least the video/image that shows the inside. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0R2pMK9ZKQ

Discussion Center / A Few Questions For Taizou
« on: December 17, 2013, 04:18:59 PM »
1. Why do you choose the name "Taizou"?
2. Are you a boy or a girl?
3. How old are you?
4. Are you actually Chinese?
5. What country do you live in? (I think remember seeing it was USA)
6. Were you born in China?
7. What game is that on your channel on YouTube, and in your signature on here?
8. Which bootleg game company do you like the most?
9. What is your favorite bootleg game?
10. What would be your favorite game in general?

I'm pretty sure I could think of more, but for now, I can't. I'm sorry if some of those questions are rude or offending.

Game Boy / GB USB smart card
« on: June 21, 2013, 06:52:57 PM »
This is a GameBoy flashcart that is most better, than BlUSB. That flashcart sucked. Anyways, being the best flashcart for GameBoy, either ways, it still isn't all that great, but there are good things, too.

This cartridge comes with a USB wire, and a mini CD, to use the extractor.

The extractor mostly sucks. You literally got to make a multicart, on a page, if you want to have multiple games. Otherwise, put 1 in each. And the cartridge, where do I begin? Well, it has alot problems with the GameShark (original GameBoy version), and the Super GameBoy. The cartridge also (I think) has a SRAM for the saving utility, but I've never tested it. Also, the cartridge is meant for GameBoy and GameBoy Color. The demo/test ROM, called "ADVENTURE.GB" is like a maze that has no rules, yeah VERY BORING. Yeah, not absolutely worth the $40 that I got it of.

GameShark bugs/glitches:
It almost reacts like, "Hey get this thing off-a me." Also, it will NEVER go to the first page, just only the second, with the GameShark.

Super GameBoy:
The music and sound does not play, but then all of a sudden, the music and sound worked.

Unfortunately, my original GameBoy was broken, so I never tested it on it, just the GameBoy Color.

By the way, I got the cartridge, brand new.

The product was made by Kitsch-Bent.

*update 6-23-13*
Whoa! Hold on! Wait! Whoa! Now it's playing the first page with the GameShark? *facepalm*    This flash cart is SO messed up.
