Quite a lot of pirated games have been extracted from multicarts.
But so far, the games have not been extracted from the ZDog 44-in-1 and Samuri 60-in-1 multicarts.
It's clear that some of the games that were already available were included in these multicarts, but most of the others in them are unique, and they also deserve to become separate exhibits of video game history.

Actually, it was expected. My guess that Ling Jie Hu Fa: Shock was originally a port of Blackthorne turned out to be correct.
I found these sprites inside this ROM. Alas, there isn't the entire sprite list, and the developers themselves dropped this case and began to draw sprites of a dude in a hat, for conspiracy. As you know, the ROM of this game, which is available on the Internet, is incomplete - it lacks the third level, instead jumping to the fourth (last) level to make the game passable. But I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that somewhere a build was released with the original sprites and minimal nonsense.
Below I will attach (partially) the collected sprites of Kyle, who was supposed to be in the game.
P.S. By the way, the dump that is available on the Internet is an overdump, at least in terms of graphics, more than half of the graphics in the CHR-ROM are repeated and aren't actually used.

On April 3, I (lancuster), together with Evgeny Kuznetsov, known by the nickname EvgenyKz, completed work on porting the pirated game "Car Park" from the more advanced VT03 hardware to the standard eight-bit hardware. Of course, during the transfer, the graphics underwent major changes and were greatly simplified, but the gameplay remained unchanged. The graphics themselves have been redrawn to match the original as much as possible. The music, alas, remained unchanged - the main idea was to port the game from VT03 to the NES, so that the main content remained intact (you should take this into account and endure all 9 levels, or turn off the sound, because Waixing usually didn't have good music).
Who worked on the hack:
EvgenyKz - disassembling the original ROM, additional programming, changing registers, title screen.
lancuster - additional hacking, coloring gameplay, working with graphics and sprites.

The game itself is a clone of the puzzle "Parking Lot Gridlock" or "Car Park Gridlock" from the game "Professor Layton and the Curious Village", released in 2007 for the Nintendo DS. It's noteworthy that Lisa Kudrow and Jennifer Aniston, better known for their roles as Phoebe and Rachel from the TV show "Friends", starred in the advertisement for the Professor Layton game:

I was prompted to create this topic by an interesting situation that I recently began to notice in bootleg games from Chinese pirates.
Here are some personal observations and findings found on the Internet:
1) Octopus / Brave Boy / Skateboard from Nice Code Software.
As it turned out, this game is an almost complete copy of the mini-game from the PC game called "Disney's The Little Mermaid II: Return to Sea Activity Centre":
https://youtu.be/OdctjpCd1u8?t=456
What this game really lacks is the title screen, which is available in the VT03 version of the "Octopus" game. Also, replace the exit screen (button B on the controller) with a pause sprite but the pause doesn't remove objects on the screen... Well, it wouldn't hurt to insert other music. ;)
2) Germ Killer by Waixing.
It's just a clone of Shockwave Flash game "Happy Pill" by Gabriel Jensen:
https://flashmuseum.org/happy-pill/
I read this observation in the comments here:
https://www.spriters-resource.com/plug_play/germkillerbootleg/
3) Car Park by Waixing (later hacked by Cube Tech).
Funny fact. Chinese pirates copied one of the puzzles of the game called "Parking Lot Gridlock" from "Professor Layton and the Curious Village" for the Nintendo DS. It's noteworthy that Lisa Kudrow herself played this game along with Jennifer Aniston:

We could also play it on the VT03 console without knowing it ourselves. :D
PS. It would be great to find clean screenshots of this puzzle.
4) Aether Puzzle / Blocks World / Bubbles Puzzle / Puzzle Blocks by Nice Code Software.
Originally produced for (and credited to) Power Joy Ltd. A game similar to "Daedalian Opus" or the Gamtec game Dou Zhi Pin Pan / Wisdom Boy. The player must put the matching Tetris-like pieces in the correct slots.

Famicom/NES dumps / Gekioko Punpun Maru: how to launch this game?
« on: August 01, 2024, 05:23:14 PM »
The only more or less sane information about this game was found in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etrsXSGL_IA
On the menu screen, the player presses some buttons that make a completely different sound than when pressing button A on 1st controller, and then he returns to the "1 player"and starts. I couldn't figure out which buttons he was pressing.
There is no information on this on the Internet, only information about the version of this game for Sega Master System.

Gameplay video on BiliBili:

There is very little information on this game on the Internet, but the video shows that it's running on the FCEUX emulator, that is, there is a dump of the game somewhere.

Famicom/NES / Is it possible to convert Pink Jelly to a standard NES?
« on: March 18, 2024, 06:17:41 PM »
I wonder if it's possible to remake this short Christmas mini-game from Hummer Team into a standard and understandable look for NES hardware? I could convert the graphics of the game to 2bpp, it remains only to find a person who can rewrite VT03 registers for a standard MMC3 mapper.
Attached below is the original 2Mb *.bin image, as well as a partially cropped (from unnecessary garbage) version and an *.cdl file for FCEUX 2.3.0.

I wonder if anyone has a multicarts of ROM dumps with collections or standalone ROMs of games released later than RexSoft or ASDER PC-95 16-in-1. Please share if you have such roms or builds.
This is what I have
(Note: ASDER 16-in-1 badly ported to 241 mapper, it often freezes):

Is there a dump of this game anywhere?
If you can't distribute it here, write to me in PM about the dump.

Hacker Center / Time Top Super Game 36-in-1
« on: December 02, 2020, 06:30:41 AM »
Who will be able to extract the game from VT03 multicart Time Top Super Game 36-in-1?
I tried to extract one of the games myself, but it didn't work out.
The logger in FCEUX allocates disparate data, and NintendulatorNRS pulls out half of the rom, which turned out an 18-in-1 version.

I'm not kidding. I took a "Mini 121-in-1" multicart, turn on the first game in FCEUX ("Commando"), and found out that this game (not only Commando!) can switch graphics and palette, being inside multicart. After changing graphics, I started the game again. You can see the result below in attached file.
Thus, it turns out that these games can work in NES mode inside multicart, but I dont know how to code, so I ask for help from knowledgeable people who can figure it out. If it turns out that these games can still be fixed to work correctly in NES mode, the NES library can be significantly replenished with new games.

P. S.: I will attach the modified ROM of multicart as a file from the file sharing service, so as not to annoy anyone by "clogging up the forum": http://www.mediafire.com/file/9335n52pkkan1b8/Mini_121_in_1-Commando.nes/file
