Hey! I know this post was from quite a number of months ago, but if you're still looking, there seems to be a classic Somari famicart going on eBay right now (albeit not for a great price). Still, if you're interested, item num. is #144610043710 (I'm not the seller, and there's no guarantee it'll work or whether it's a legit seller - always be cautious when purchasing items online. But, happy hunting! ★).

Pirate Talk / Re: does anyone know how to fix TVs?????
« on: May 13, 2023, 04:04:08 AM »
When you say freezing... what exactly do you mean? (And, is it happening for all other inputs on the back of the TV?)

If it's the video-input freezing instead of the whole TV, have you tried different RCA cables (assuming this is what you're using) with console hardware that you know works? (It might just be the ones you have are a bit old or broken, even if they don't look like it on the outside - if you've tested multiple inputs but with the same cable, then the issue would still occur across all consoles). Does the audio freeze as well? Or just the video?

Also, what model television have you got? (Year/Brand/Model). It could be the power cables you're using as well, or the actual socket on the back of the TV.

Unless you're referring to the whole TV black-screening every few seconds (? is that what you mean? Apologies I'm not too sure what you mean by 'freezing' without more context - is the TV responsive at all in these freezing episodes? Or is it just your connected inputs?).

Best of luck :)

One Piece is pretty cool though, I used to read the manga a lot when I was younger. ^_^

Hi, would you be able to re-upload the file please? The mediafire link isn't working anymore. :(
Don't worry about it if you can't though.
Thanks!

Hacker Center / Titenic cutscenes?
« on: November 01, 2015, 02:13:16 AM »
I know this has probably been discussed somewhere already and I'm probably late to the party/completely clueless in every way, but I've been trying to access the Titenic cutscenes for quite a while now, only by hacking the NES memory (not with codes).

I've managed to get some of the graphics, but they're all scrambled up. :P

After accessing the end screen, you can edit address 0606 to anything from '01' to '08', each with seemingly different cutscenes. (Attached is a photo of what I mean, using '03', the 3rd cutscene) '02' and '08' are the same, with '08' being the original code for that address, the end screen.

You get the graphics, but they're all scrambled, pretty much line by line. It also kinda looks like more than one graphics file is scrambled among it.

I later found a link here that has instructions to hack it, telling me that what I had done so far was right, but then it says to put 0050 as '4E' and 004E as '0B', which doesn't really do much except for getting rid of the (glitched) text and scrambling the graphics a bit more. Following the order that the instructions give make no difference.

I figured out that the address 0050 cuts off some of the picture, and 004E can freeze the game if the wrong code is put in.

I'm using fceux 2.2.2 and the Super New Year Cart 15-in-1 to do this.

I'd really appreciate any advice and words of assistance, as most of you are probably way more experienced with this than I am. Thank you!
