"Across River", a Frogger clone starring something that almost looks like Jigglypuff, with the music from Mars's Pokemon Gold port.
And I thought it would be impossible to screw up a Frogger clone.
That's sad. I thought Sachen's Frogger clone, was already bad enough. :(   ("Worm Visiter")

well if theres one thing i've learnt from pirates and cheapo plug-&-play games over the years, its that you can screw up anything ;D

makes me wonder if some of the games on these consoles might be developed by Mars/Union Bond or someone related though. my Excalibur 101 in 1 joypad has Fun Click which is just a de-pokemoned version of Picaclick from Union Bond's Pokemon 4 in 1.
Yep. I would imagine that Hummer Team's ones are probably good, but some of them suck majorly, like that Wii clone, that (I think) Tweeterman287 reviewed. Hell, alot of official ones SUCK, like that SpongeBob 5-in-1. It ruined my childhood, somewhat. Well, I only hate it now, back then, I was more stupid, to actually feel like, that I *actually* liked it. But no, it's as bad as Action 52. Hell, now, I rather play Action 52 *somewhat* more than that (fucking) SpongeBob plug-in-play. God, it pisses me off, with boredom. >_< :angry2: Piece of shit. By the way, it seems to be NES / Famicom software, but 2x more better graphics, than it. It was made in 2003, pretty much, when I was first watching SpongeBob (sadly, around when the old classic episodes were close to an end), and had the plug-in-play. The only thing that was mostly cool about was the console design, and the sprites, otherwise, everything else, pretty much sucks. With such cheap rip-offs of other games, such as the original Donkey Kong, to Breakout, ... :angry2: ... AGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I need an AVGN quote!!!

Incidentally, a bit of Taiwanese calendar trivia, to make further sense of that trademark registration:

The Taiwanese government uses the Minguo calendar, which is the same as the Gregorian calendar except that the year 0 is 1911, when the Chinese republic was founded.

So "094/11/30" is actually 30 November 2005.

However, the trademark was initially registered on "084/12/01" - which is 1 December 1995. So it's still valid evidence that these guys were around in Taiwan during the 16-bit era!
O_o  Well, that's weird, because I've noticed that Sachen uses the American (and European?) calendar, for dating their games. For example, with "Dan Laser", and "Ant Soldiers".

On the topic of hack dumps, I just recently dumped Teletubbies, a Mario Bros hack. https://app.box.com/s/vxbi2gx6b0pcl2er9qgv (sorry if this is the wrong place to post this)
Is that on the Power Joy PJ-001?
I haven't played that system, I just ripped the hack from Y2K 420-in-1.
Oh, It's a Trump Grand console.

Also, Has any Y2K multicarts been found? If so, Let me know.  ^_^
:)    I found one for Famicom. I don't know of any GameBoy multicarts, by them. The only GameBoy cartridge by Y2K, that I know of, is the Magic Color Card II. You can a very brief review on it here: https://gallowsmart.wordpress.com/2010/11/10/magic-color-card-ii-mega-memory-card/

Almost every other unlicensed GB developer/publisher except Makon changed the logo, I doubt they were all planning their own systems. It was just a way to avoid trademark issues with Nintendo while plugging themselves in the process. Oh and GB Boy Color compatibility with Gowin games seems to be the same as the real GBC, I guess it still checks against the Nintendo logo internally even if it isn't shown.
Huh. I was asking that because even the startup programming of the GB Boy Colour is customized by the developer of the console, Kongfeng. (I think that's the company's name.) I mean, they didn't use the same bootup programming as the official GameBoy Color.

Not sure about dumpage, but I have Sonic 7, Sonic 5 (on a multicart), Super Mario 3, and Mega Man 8, all of which I might be throwing up on eBay in the near future for those that want to own a physical copy of this stuff.
Wait, don't! Can't you just mail them to me, or something? I just don't want to end up not having them. So can we just do that or something? :[]
Heh, got Famicom gamez for trade bro?
Sadly, no. :( But would you want to just mail it to me?

Is Queen of Fighting 2000 still there? I REALLY WANT TO GET IT. (I'm SO stressed right now.) I really hope you didn't already sell it. The thing is though, I don't know what to do to get it. What do I do?

Game Boy / Generic Bootleg Compatability
« on: December 22, 2013, 03:10:09 AM »
I guess it's the programming between both the game, and the console. I'm saying that a certain bit of programming on the game makes the console programming not understand each other. It seems like I also can't figure that out. O_o

Game Boy / Binary Monster by Gowin on a GBA SP?
« on: December 21, 2013, 11:50:07 PM »
I'm kinda wondering if this was done (from Gowin) (for severely changing the header for the bootup), because if they were going to make their own system that would play their games. (Possibly calling it the "Gowin Boy" or the "HotKid Boy") Second thing, I also wonder if their games would even play on the GB Boy and the GB Boy Colour. They actually might play better, who knows?

"HC Translations" sounds like a late-90s/early-2000s fan translation group, there were lots of them knocking out translations of Pokemon Gold & Silver in the time between the Japanese and US release.. mostly they were pretty low quality, PR Translations was kind of the original and best (and the originator of the whole "two letter"-Translations naming thing) but even in theirs a lot of the dialogue text was just made up.

I can't find any reference to HC Translations specifically though & it seems like an odd mix of fan-like stuff (using the font from the English 1st gen games and the correct English names for the Pokemon) with bootleg-like Engrish and Chinese names in the dialogue. I guess its possible that some bootleggers took an incomplete fan translation from somewhere and inserted their own translation of everything else to produce a roughly "complete" version.
Hmm... okay.

It seems like you could tell they somewhat edited the sprites from Vast Fame's 女王格鬥2000. Am I wrong? Odd though (if that is true) I wonder how they bypassed the copy protection? O_o

no it wouldn't, being gay would make you gay, being a transvestite would make you a transvestite (and theres no need for such an emphatic denial either)
For you wondering why I thought you were Chinese? Well, since you know I'm blocked, I'm having to you about here, to put it on there for me. I also found some information tieing together about this game and Vietnamese Crystal.

Well, basically this game seems to be a precursor to Vietnamese Crystal.

(video: {by DeliciousCinnamon} http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OA3YvXmMyMA)

Here's some proof that these might just be (for sure) very obviously similar.

1. Both games are made in Hong Kong.
I cannot find full proof for this game actually being made in Hong Kong, but it is said to by them. For Vietnamese Crystal, it kinda seemed obvious. For when it says "ELF" (小精靈) {Google still thinks that these days.}, it means "Little Creature" in the Hong Kong Chinese Traditional variant. (Note: The other Chinese Traditional variant is for Taiwan, that being why there is a such thing as "Taiwanese".) Back to the point, "寵物小精靈" is actually the Hong Kong name for Pokemon, or Pocket Monsters, if you will. So good proof, that I would say that this would be helpful information on there. So we know now, that it was specifically made in Hong Kong, in China.

References:
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/JustForFun/PokemonVietnameseCrystal
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_in_Greater_China

2. If you look, it is said that the company who did the translation for this game was HC Translations, but it uncertain if it was for Vietnamese Crystal. I assume so, because the "item" phrases are very similar. Some other phrases as well. I swear though, that they made the horrible translated Pokemon Green (which by the way that game is needed to be put on the Wiki, as well), but I could be mistaken. I could have sworn though, I saw that being said on RomHacking.net (Note: If you could find it, it might be very too, because there similar pages of it, being that others have tried to do the project, as well.) So for that particular Pokemon Green, I can't say that they made as well, for sure.

But yeah, I would greatly appreciate it, if you people could makes the changes / info, and the new pages for: "Pocket Monsters Green Version" (Pokemon Green Engrish), "Pocket Monsters Gold Version" (Pokemon Hong Kong Gold Version), and "Pocket Monsters Crystal Version" (Pokemon Vietnamese Crystal).

Side note for Pokemon Green Engrish: It has MANY reproduction cartridges, all of which not made by the same person. Usually a bootleg game has a good bit of both the original publisher's version of the cartridge, and a good bit other people make reproduction cartridges for it, also (usually later, after being released in China). But here, I guess it so popular, that most all the original cartridges are gone, in which case makes it harder to find the image of the original.

*later post*
I think this cartridge here might be the original, or at least the video/image that shows the inside. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0R2pMK9ZKQ
