Famicom/NES / Update on the hidden Car player Games by YMK
« on: January 21, 2026, 01:35:54 PM »
as i went through that Games List of the Car DVD Player, i have sorted out these games, that haven't been covered yet.
nevertheless i will give my assumptions to them:

Match - either a shortening of the IR Genie Game "The Photo Matches" or some other puzzle game
Shark - Unknown Fish game or just the Shark! Shark! Hack by nice code
Space Flight - Unknown Space game
Fighter 2006 - Eventually a Fighting game with YMK's own characters
X Battle - Unknown action game
Alien Attack - The one NES Hack with Both shooting and bombing simultaneously mapped to both buttons
Jester's Ball - Unknown Juggling game
Space Trek - Unknown Spaceship shooter
Magic Ball - VT03 Port of the VT369 Counterpart

In case someone knows anything about these, may respond to that letter of mine.
thank you in advance  ;)
update as of 21.01.2026
Good evening,

Recently, i discovered a Offer from Finland for this DVD Player thingy:
https://www.tori.fi/recommerce/forsale/item/34474890
And because the Pictures were big and sharp, i also got a very clear shot of the game pics and i have finally managed to Identify the Games and here are the changes to my assumptions:

Match - definitely a shortening of the IR Genie Game "The Photo Matches"
Shark - just the VT03 Shark! Shark! Hack by nice code
Space Flight - Alternate Name for YMK's VT03 Hack of MagMax
Fighter 2006 - not an own Fighting game, but YMK's VT03 Hack of Spartan X
X Battle - Alternate Name for YMK's VT03 Hack of Battle City
Alien Attack - Alternate Name for YMK's VT03 Hack of Warpman  :o
Jester's Ball - Alternate Name for YMK's VT03 Hack of Super Arabian
Space Trek - Alternate Name for YMK's VT03 Hack of Seicross
Magic Ball - YMK's VT03 Hack of Hexa (NES Port)

either that, or the Rosen Version replaced the games with the Hack Games!

in my remembrance, this Menu Graphic is the same as the one from the DEX DX-011D:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKqzd5RqkpU

Seems like Cubetac is creating VT02 Stuff, but we had no idea about it!

and may i point out, that the Notes made at the undumped section of the Bootleggames Wiki is in all seriousness FALSE!

It says, that it has non-Waixing versions of VT03 games but really, it cannot be, because the Menu is VT02 and there was no Access Block on it.

Famicom/NES / Mystery Games on unknown Famiclone from Poland
« on: January 18, 2026, 05:32:35 AM »
Just in, i discovered some sort of set of mystery games on a unknown Famiclone:
https://youtu.be/uhP03ccMmJ4?si=kXfgdWae3QxLNS-F&t=350

it appears to me, that this famiclone console might have VT02 conversions of YMK Games such as Wave Tiger or Germ killer.

or are these just the VT03 Games in a VT02 Menu?

if you know any more details about this, let me know.

Famicom/NES / My attempt at seperating VT168 Games
« on: January 02, 2026, 09:10:16 AM »
Good evening,

In my downtime, i have been taking up the weird attempt of extracting Games from VT168 Roms.
In this example, i have extracted Diamond and Duel soccer from the intec interact g5400 Game console. (BIN Files in the Attachment)
My way of extracting the games is by using YY-CHR to locate all the required stuff of one single ROM and finding the ends of the ROMS, choosing the speculated chunk in an hex editor and saved it as an seperate bin file.
however, i reckon, that i might have done a mistake and i would appreciate any sort of help.
thank you in advance

a Handheld with an VT369 and an SD Card? i wonder if i could run other VT369 NES Roms such as Wave Tiger by Cubetac on this?
Going by the games included, I would imagine it only works with ROMs that use separate CHR-ROM, whereas most originally-programmed VT369 games (including the Wave Tiger example) use CHR-RAM. I don't have a unit to check myself, though.
i tried it myself and unfortunately, it does NOT work.
Reason for this: This device is incompatible with Submappers.

Famicom/NES / Retro Arcade FC A6 Plus Question
« on: December 11, 2025, 01:20:42 PM »
I figured out, that the file on the SD Card of the Retro Arcade FC A6 Plus is pots.dll
And upon further research, the file is just the regulat pots.dll file you can download off the internet.
i do not understand, how the devil does a standard DLL File for computers act as a games list file?

here is another notable game from the a6plus retro arcade.
This one is yet another version of Mitashi's International Cricket, which is basically an Nes port of Brian Lara Cricket.
That specific version is based on the Waixing version, however it does carry it's own specialties:
-The Title Music is quite altered.
-The Background building at the coin toss has been replaced
-The Cricket Referee ingame is wearing earmuffs instead of a Hat

Pretty fascinating, how several companies distribute their own version of this ridiculously outlandish port of an Mega Drive game with quite some differences: Waixing, Cubetac and even an fanmade one, That hidden Gem has some unpredicted reputation.

Famicom/NES / Question about the Retro Arcade FC A6 Plus' SD Card Feature.
« on: December 08, 2025, 01:16:43 PM »
Thank you for providing it. I managed to identify every Famicom/NES ROM within the code (sifting through loads of junk data), mainly done by just searching for common .nes file sizes (e.g. 25k, 41k). Games of particular note include the following:

*Three uncommon Inventor hacks: Air Raider, Dream Rapid, and a variant of Rush Hour featuring motorcycles (whereas the prior known version uses cars). The early version of Boat Race mentioned a few posts back is also present here in working order.
*Anger Bird, Khresna, and Upin & Ipin Adventure 3, three hacks which are affiliated with the "Play Vision Portable" systems.
*The 8-bit version of Waixing's Explorer (AFAIK, the last remaining undumped VT02 game in the set), as well as an MMC3-based version of Tank. Unfortunately, both ROMs do not run standalone; I assume this is initialization-related, though I could not determine a fix at a cursory glance.

Some additional technical notes that I found interesting:

*As mentioned in MAME's notes, remnants of what appears to be a Linux system are scattered across the SD card; with the NES ROMs haphazardly thrown in alongside the Linux data.
*Every ROM contains space for an iNES header, though in some cases it is overwritten with other data, presumably used by the VT02 menu system.
*Some of the games are duplicated multiple times across the SD card contents. While some duplicates are merely unaltered ROMs, others seem to be in varying states of removing the games' copyright information.
*All of the games are either NROM or MMC3, without support for CHR-RAM; which is to be expected of a VT02 console, but still a bit jarring given its SD card compatibility. There are quite a few MMC3 conversions on here as a result, including some games that are not commonly converted (e.g. Kero Kero Keroppi 1, Tetsuwan Adam).
*The ROM of Fish War features a Nature Color Game copyright, but it was blanked out via PRG (because of course it was). I did attempt to restore the notice, but it required more guesswork than usual...
*The ROM of Bolt Action is massively overdumped, and inexplicably, appears to have overwritten the data of "Mechanical Invader", a Nice Code game that is almost completely undocumented. The CHR is largely intact, though no portions of the PRG are present.

I have attached the most notable games below. I will likely compile the mapper hacks at a later date; if not a full release of the extracted contents. (Also note that with all of that, I still have no idea what "Video Player" was supposed to be...)
I have ordered this A6 Plus mini arcade machine recently. i tried it out without the SD Card and it turns out, that, there is a list with some built in games.  However, if you insert any other SD CArd in, it tells you something about a path Error. Does anyone know, how i should call the path for my own games? I presume it would be "WMGame" but there may be another.

Does anyone have the extracted SD card contents of the "Retro Arcade FC A6Plus - 8Bt Game Console" (ROM name "a6plus")? According to MAME, the console uses a VT369 menu interface, but reads most of its games off of a MicroSD card. Going by a Reddit post, the games seem to be standard .nes files, albeit very poorly-named (https://www.reddit.com/r/Handhelds/comments/1bu06a1/what_the_heck_is_this_aliexp_mini_arcade_with_tf/).

If the game list beginning ~FA400 in the ROM is accurate, it appears that a number of games are rare (e.g. Air Raider, Pikachu5) or potentially undocumented (e.g. "Bomb-Mar", "Video Player"). The ROM itself does contain ~6MB of Nice Code games (some being Qi Sheng Long variants), but I did not see anything undumped at a cursory glance.
a Handheld with an VT369 and an SD Card? i wonder if i could run other VT369 NES Roms such as Wave Tiger by Cubetac on this?

well, my best guess for that last menu selection would be this Commodore 64 Collection Homebrew (https://www.emulatorgames.net/roms/super-nintendo/commodore-64-collection-pd), but maybe not.
