Dooly Bravo Land seems very broken, especially with the jumping. The music reminds me of Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory.

[/quote]Do we know each other?  We bid against each other on games before?  You live in Taiwan?

I collect these games, make hi res scans of everything I get for a future project of preservation.  I also collect these games for myself.  If you just want to dump these games, maybe we can work some deal, to help us both with our goals.

To answer Kage's question, I do not feel comfortable to send this game out.  The aforementioned dumper, while I trust him, is living in a different country on business so who knows how long before I would get the game back.  And I paid too much for this, I do not want to send it out again in the mail and risk something happening to it.  I am not against dumping, by any means, but I am against sending a super rare game out in the mail, when I paid a lot of money for it.  And I mean  a lot.

@Dragon:  PM me, we can talk more.

My worry though, is that if I make a video people will just get pissed, as the quality is not going to be good at all (due to my limited setup and abilities)

tbh if you do want a capture device, any cheap Chinese one will do a reasonable enough job - theres no need to hunt down a specific one unless youre after really good quality or something special like PAL60 or S-Video support.

Last time I used a screen capture device was a "snappy" I had purchased damn, 15 years ago.  I am not overly technical by now, so I just want something easy to use.
BTW, I don't feel pressured in the least.    ;)

I feel the same as most do, it is best to preserve this stuff and document it.  Everyone has their own thoughts and opinions on how to document different items, but in the end, I guess if we work together and document stuff to some extent then everyone is happy.

On another note, I probably have several gig worth of high res scans of different interesting items, but I am still waiting for the perfect venue to release that stuff.

Daou games run on mapper 156 and, since CaH4e3 dumped General's Son/Janggun-ui Adeul before, it shouldn't take too long to get it ready.

Look, there is absolutely no point sending a copy for a dump if it's already in the process of being dumped somewhere else. Kevtris is trustworthy person and has dumped plenty of pirates and prototypes. As I said, I'll gladly send my copy if that other attempt is unsucessful/hoarded.

Also, CaH4e3 is one of the fceux developers. If this game requires new mapper or modification in previously existing mapper code - it can took sometime, before this game starts working on any decent emulators. If you send cart to CaH4e3, then game starts working at the same time as dump released. At least in fceux and fceumm

Kevtris is also responsible for some of the emulation of famous pirate mappers.
I'll say it one last time, it's useless to do something in the back of others. Especially when it's being done by respectful people like Frank Cifaldi and Kevtris.

Good news guys. The game along with Magic Kid Googoo were dumped and will be available soon. Speaking of Magic Kid, it was assigned mapper 190 (Kevtris is on his way of spreading the mapper info to emulator developers, including CaH4e3) so it might take some time before the mapper gets its initial support by emulators.

Many unlicensed titles are quite above standard NES titles. Some are even very ambitious like Final Fight 3, Metal Force, Feng Shen Bang, Aladdin, Super Lion King, Princess Maker, etc. There's definitely quite a good number of interesting games in that domain :)

I feel like while there are some pirated/unlicensed games that are on an audio/visual technical level higher than a majority of its console's licensed stuff, the only time that an unlicensed game is more playable or fun than licensed, is if compared to the licensed shovelware garbage. The only unlicensed game that I would legitimately say plays better than its licensed brethren is Jang Pung 3 on Master System, which is better than any other 8-bit console fighter I can think of.

Regardless I'm a fan of Dooly the character based on some of the stuff I dug up online about him years ago, so I am excited for this.
