i think Waixing is still selling its old famicom games but they aren't developing any new ones as far as I know. Same goes for Nanjing. I don't know of any company developing new Famicom games to release on cart (maybe some obscure company in China is still doing it though, who knows - no one had heard of Nanjing until about 2008) but Nice Code might still be making them for plug & play consoles.

I believe Nanjing recently stopped production of their FC games.
I have no idea what is doing Waixing now but if they stopped activities in FC, then it's the real end of Famicom era :/.

I doubt it. As far as I know, they only developed games for the Game Boy Color and GBA, and I certainly don't recall them being involved with Famicom piracy.

Products like this (http://suborchina.en.alibaba.com/productshowimg/50476014-50105563/Educational_Keyboard.html) and this (http://suborchina.en.alibaba.com/product/50476017-50105565/TV_Game_Player.html) make it look like Subor/Waixing are still producing Famicom games (however, whether they sell unbundled games is another question.)

Well I know Subor have produced a couple of multicarts in the last couple of years (in fact, I recently bought a 150-in-1 that was made by them) so they might still be producing Famicom carts.

Yeah, lots of companies are still manufacturing carts I'm sure, but I don't know if anyone is still developing new Famicom games.

YH and Subor comes to mind. Some unknown publisher produced some carts during 2006-2010 with generic label but I don't know if they are still around.

It seems K stopped activities in 2007-2008 (one of the biggest manufacturer with YH).

Aren't YH carts just multicarts with about 6 1st gen Famicom games? I got one of those recently, and that's basically what it was. Also worth pointing out that the tabs broke not long after I got it, so I can't even play it. :(

Sometimes they include some hacks such as Tekken 3 or Harry's Legend  (that one was used a lot by K) or other common MMC3 pirates originals or rare game (Recca). Volumerates.com is full of them :p

Ah, so those Harry Potter and Tekken ones are actually good games?? Ordering! Thanks MLX!

Doesn't mean they all works great. Tekken 3 appears broken on some hardware or some multis are glitched (for that price, it's something you should expect). Btw make sure you don't order one with Harry Potter 1001 but Harry's Legend.

Anyone else?
VT03 is a system (an enhanced famiclone more or less) not a developer, and its almost certainly nothing to do with Vast Fame. i'm just speculating that companies that stopped working on normal famicom games might still be making stuff for the VT03. (like Cube Tech is still making hacks for it, from the looks of things)

Does RetroZone count?
No. RetroZone is a reproduction cart maker and not an actual pirate game developer.

Well it depends where you draw the line, doesn't it? They're a fairly professional operation making carts using brand new PCBs and cases, they release both new original games and bootleg copies of old games ("reproductions" if you like), what separates them from the companies in China doing the same thing?

A bit of a nitpick, but I wouldn't say they produce Famicom games. That, and they publish games from homebrew developers rather than make the games themselves.
