I was looking through Garou Densetsu Special with the hex editor and I see this:

It's got MKII Special names but...the game itself has a Huang-1 chip.

I'm pretty sure the names were overwritten from MKII Special's because in that game there 14 characters while Garou Densetsu Special has 8 and there are 6 leftover names from the former. Guess that means Someri built Garou Densetsu Special off MKII Special. Also, where did people come up with the idea that Hummer did MKII Special?
-
Garoudesentsu may be their last game. Also, Mortal Kombat II is one of their first game released under JY id. So they probably started while they were still Someri Team and used Garoudensetsu to test some stuff.
Edit: @cheetahmen: SF2Z97 use the same engine and credits Hummer Team, Also the code to access the JY logo is the same for Super Mario World. The JY logo graphics are the same in the other games made by Hummer Team for JY. (except DKC4 but it seems they were running out of time and banks).

I didnt know Garou uses the Huang-1 chip.. anyone have a pic of the PCB?

It's the pink cart near Somari

I don't see a Someri copyright on there.
-
Well, like Kart Fighter, Street Fighter IV, Street Fighter II, Master Fighter IV', AV Jiu Ji Ma Jiang 2

Maybe Someri/Hummer were working for Ge De & JY at the same time.. MK2S was something like their fourth game for JY wasn't it? (after Aladdin, MK2 non-special and SMW, assuming the ID numbers are in order). so it wouldnt make much sense for Garou to contain remnants of MK2S if they only started working for JY afterwards.
-
As far I know the order are a bit random. JY-033 which is DKC4 was released in 1999 while JY-031 (Popeye II) was released in 1996/97...
I'm sure they made Garou then they left and joined JY just after. Likely they planned that change to start to work with JY as soon as possible.
