Buy that toy.  Buy that goddamn toy and upload a video of it in action.  I'll pay for the camera and the toy, just do it.*

*So long as the toy & camera don't have a total value of over $8.00 USD.

I just realised something, one problem with these box arts is that they're a bit too authentic for this sort of thing in my opinion, and I'm pretty sure some people would be willing to take advantage of that. You should probably put "Reproduction cart" or something on it to deter that.
Somehow, I doubt that will deter people much, especially bootleggers.  To bring up Sonic Megamix again, they got rid of the description on the back and just put in like nine screenshots in its place.  They might find a way around it if it's added in there.

I didn't bother with this one, as like I said, it's nothing new.

Taking bets: how long until we start seeing these labels on actual bootlegs?  They already did that with Sonic Megamix...

Nice job, though!  I would love to see a drawn cover for Gamtec's early stuff.

The Big Old Arcade / Best and worst games in your collection
« on: August 10, 2011, 05:53:58 PM »
-Famicom-
Best: Mother
Worst: Pick a random SNT and/or Waixing game.  Most of them suck.

-Game Boy-
Best: A Megaman multicart containing all of three games that promised me a Yong Yong game, but game me Rockman World 2 instead.  Thank you God.
Worst: Rockman X4/Pokemon Diamond/Pokemon Jade.  They're all winners!

-Game Boy Advance-
Best: Drill Dozer
Worst: One of these Japanese shoujo games I got from bootleg auctions.

-Sega Genesis/Mega Drive-
Best: Hard to say, but I'll qualify Decap Attack 'cause it's awesome.
Worst: Sachen's Mahjong Companion.  Christ, do we really need all these Mahjong games?

-Gamecube-
Best: Custom Robo (to me it's the best)
Worst: Pokemon Channel.  It's worse than Hey You! Pikachu! somehow.

-SNES-
Best: Mother 2/Umihara Kawase
Worst: A Mahjong game by GAMARS I got from a friend.  SNORE.

Milford of craptacular New Jersey, America's armpit.  Not even the fact we have gambling and Atlantic City over here can make me hate it any less.  It's like the incest child of the south and a trailer park that suffered brain damage.

And I'm not saying that because I'm a Sachen fan.
Yay, I love Sachen too :D
Yay, I'm not the only one machoist enough to who likes Sachen! :yay:

Yeah, I found out about it at Sega-16, I believe.  I've been meaning to pick that game up (or at least the Japanese version, Time Dominator 1st).  I really liked the audio/visuals in that game, though I thought the boss fights were pretty disappointing.  Of all of Vic Tokai's games, Krion Conquest is my top (personal) favorite.

I saw a AVGN review of Master Chu one time, but I didn't care much for it.  And I'm not saying that because I'm a Sachen fan.

Anyways, I don't care much for Kid Kool, as it's not that good.  I do like Vic Tokai's other stuff like Krion Conquest, Clash at Demonhead, and Socket, but this one was really annoying to play.  Decap Attack was way better honestly.

Yeah usally the SNES soundtracks sound better than the Sega Genesis.
With unlicensed games, not always.  With the current SNES titles, they're likely ports of the MD version, and are rushjobs moreso than the original game they're porting.  Keep in mind that these are bootleggers; many have used the Bonkers sound engine without even writing any new songs.  They just use Bonker's soundtrack rather than making their own.

If this game is Squirrel King, it would be heaven for me.  I love the idea of great developers like Gamtec being on other systems, even though that probably isn't the case here.

Sounds like Super Mario World 7 (I think its 7. or some other number) - I have it on another multi, it's a hack of the GB Adventure Island 2.
Oh!  I completely forgot about Adventure Island!  Dunno why Joe & Mac came to mind before that...

That kinda sounds like a Joe & Mac hack, though the only game I can think of like that is the NES version called Mario 16.  Are you sure it wasn't a GB version of that?

Just beat it; it throws you back to the intro with the boss music still playing after you beat it.

Played around with the boxed copy and the game makes you reset in order to load the next level, just like Taizou's copy.  I haven't beaten it yet, but it looks like it's the same as his.  I'll trek on and see if this has an ending.

As far as the dumping, I still want to get the GB Transferer, as it supports GB/GBC stuff (which I have a ton of) and I've been meaning to upgrade to a better computer.  Might consider the DS option, but it won't do as much good for me.
