Discussion Center / Sky League cards?
« on: March 14, 2012, 06:56:43 AM »

I'm not sure what Sky League is exactly, although they appear to be related to bootleg games somehow. I was actually given some Sky League trading cards by a Chinese seller, which I didn't know existed until now. I'm not sure whether the cards themselves are bootleg cards unless they're actually a real trading card game about bootleg games.

Other Pirates / Need help identifying these bootlegs!
« on: March 07, 2012, 12:27:17 PM »
Recently, I was mistakenly sent these four bootleg multi-cartridges. I'm not sure what system they're for or what all of the games on them are, but I thought they might be of interest to the forum members here:

The first is an orange-brown multicart that appears to have Chinese fighting games and a tetris-like game on the front? It has 58 games on it.

The second is a smaller grey cartridge that has 7 games on it, with one of them being Duckhunt. It also has some interesting engrish on the back.

The third is a large mustard yellow cartridge that has 150 games and says TV. Game Cartridge on the front. It appears to have been made in 1992, according to the label. It has a mario game and the same tetris-like game and a chinese fighting game like the first cartridge.

The fourth is a grey-blue cartridge that has 120 games, which include Aladdin, Duckhunt, Rockman World 5 and Super Mario Land. It also says TV. Game Cartridge.

Game Boy dumps / Sky Dragon (GBC) - Vast Fame bootleg?
« on: March 05, 2012, 10:48:57 AM »
After viewing the only video for this game on Youtube, i'm really curious to know if this game was made by Vast Fame: http://www.youtube.com/watch?hl=en&v=sQXPeixuWm8&gl=US

This game has tons of stolen material in it, including bits pirated from Telefang, Link's Awakening, Dragonball Z and Fire Emblem. The overworld design reminds me a lot of Digital Monsters 3 and i'm sure the menu system and the main title screen options are identical in style as well. If this really is one of Vast Fame's bootlegs, it seems to be poorer in quality than their other games.

2000-present / Famicom version of Shui Hu Shen Shou.
« on: February 11, 2012, 06:45:31 PM »
It seems that there's a famicom version of Shui Hu Shen Shou as well as the GBC version. There's quite a few of them for sale on Taobao. There's also two different cartridge designs.

Game Boy / Digimon Data
« on: January 15, 2012, 08:40:54 AM »
A forum member on Tulunk Village, a forum for the Telefang games, posted about another hack of Telefang they'd heard about a while ago that was called Digimon Data, but there's not much information about it apart from their post and I wondered if anyone here might have heard of it or seen it at all.

This was their post on the forum about the game:

One friend of mine [unfortunately,we are no longer friends...] when I showed her telefang pictures [we were talking about mon games] said that her japanese friend showed her this [Digimon Data] game that was clearly first telefang, but with half of the sprites replased by digimons, all names replaced by made-up names [if I remember right, she said that easydog was Wrumu or like this and Impmon was Zog],and it was in horrible, butchered japanese mixed with english-her friend dug game files and said that it was chinese to english to japanese translation, and chinese version were awful in the start...and they randomly used names from some final fantasy, and game glitched so bad that it was impossible to complete even first vilage [it collapsed after first battle].And all monster descriptions were some random text.
That's was she said.Anybody else heard about it?
Game Boy / Pokemon Great Collections (Kou Dai Guai Shou Da Ji He)?
« on: January 14, 2012, 01:33:51 PM »
Does anyone know about this particular bootleg of Telefang Speed version? According to Fuji.drillspirits it's called Pokemon Great Collections or Kou Dai Guai Shou Da Ji He. It's mentioned on your wikipedia on the Telefang bootleg page, but I can't find much information about it on the web even when searching using the Chinese name, and I wondered if anyone here knows about it or has a copy of the game and can tell any more about it.

It would be a great help for the Telefang forum, Tulunk Village, to know more about any possible bootlegs of the games, particularly this one, as it's so rare.

The only pictures we have as a reference are the ones on Fuji.drillspirits.

Back of box with Telefang screenshots.

Front of box.

Cart and manual.

This is the information on your wiki I was referring to:

Another version titled 口袋妖怪大集合 exists that is the original Japanese verson of Telefang Speed, but all monsters in battle and on the map are replaced with Pokemon. Interestingly, the piraters also went to the trouble of replacing all monster names with the appropriate Japanese name of the Pokemon in its place.
Thanks in advance!
