Mega Drive/Genesis / Super Mario World 64... is it worth playing?
« on: October 16, 2011, 03:33:57 PM »
So, we all know about the above mentioned game that is currently undumped and I need to ask... judging from videos of the game where people have played it on real hardware, is it really worth playing? I mean, it looks exactly like Super Mario World but with different sounds. I fail to see what's special about it

Famicom/NES / Bio Hazard fix?
« on: September 29, 2011, 03:24:16 PM »
As you all know, the mentioned NES pirate game is riddled with many glitches that causes it to crash often, usually like 10 seconds later and therefore making it unplayable. Could this game be fixed from this by some hex-editing or something? If so, that'd be great and I'd be interested to know who can take the job on doing it.

Other Pirates / Super Trio (DOS)
« on: September 24, 2011, 07:23:20 AM »
This is a peculiar DOS game that one member of RX Community told us about, so I decided to post about it here. It's a game that looks very similar to Squirrel King (even the graphic style for it). You can get it and see other information about it here but, some people may not get it to work on DOSBox as it won't run on Windows XP or later, considering it's an old game.

If anyone can get it working, tell me what you think of it :P

Super Famicom/SNES dumps / Pokemon Gold Silver & Digimon Adventure
« on: September 14, 2011, 04:24:31 AM »
Along with Soul Edge vs. Samurai, another two SNES pirate games have been dumped recently. They are Pokemon Gold Silver and Digimon Adventure. They're both platform games and I remember WhiteLionness did a video of the former before, when she owned the cartridge that you can see here.

About the games, they both use the same music and sounds although in Digimon Adventure, the controls are very stiff and broken.

Just curious of where everyone's from, so that others can know as well. I'm from Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom but some people know this already :)

The Community / New dumps section?
« on: August 08, 2011, 06:22:24 AM »
We have a thread about new dumps but, don't you think it's better if we have a new section for that sort of thing? It'll probably be better in my opinion because I've lost track with all the new dumps mentioned in that thread.

Game Boy / Rocket Games
« on: August 02, 2011, 04:04:48 AM »
Anyone heard of this company, that have produced games like Painter and Hang Time Basketball? I have, but I'm not sure if their games are actually the pirated kind because they're too good to be the average one, and look more like homebrews. Can anyone help me out here?

Game Boy / Digimon 6
« on: July 17, 2011, 10:01:23 AM »
Has anyone heard of this elusive pirate for the GBC, where it's a Tamagotchi-like game containing horrible graphics? Well, I have and did a video of it three years ago and I wonder if its ROM is still around. I thought SpaceNinja still had it when I asked him for the ROM if it again (as I think he gave me it) but no... he doesn't. Anyone know where the ROM of this game is? For some reason I remembered I originally found it in Kamming's site. Help would be much obliged.

Game Boy / Gorilla 3 and "New Super Color 145-in-1"
« on: June 26, 2011, 04:14:22 PM »
On YouTube, ToadTReborn informed me of a multicart called New Super Color 145-in-1 and one of the games it contains is Gorilla 3 which is a really poor copy of Donkey Kong Country 3 and you only play as Kiddy Kong. However, the game's developers are unknown and of course, no ROM dump of it exists unless someone can do that once they ever find it.

Any of you heard about it, or is it just me and ToadT? I'd really like to see what Gorilla 3's like and what other interesting pirate games are crammed in the multicart.

Hacker Center / Super Mario Special 3 patch
« on: May 18, 2011, 12:11:53 PM »
Does anyone know where to get a fully-working patch for Super Mario Special 3? I ask this because I was sent a patch from Tza11rus (from YouTube) days ago and I applied to the game's ROM and although it fixed everything, it didn't fix the music and sound. The same thing happened when I applied it on the overdumped version. I should note that the patch I was sent was a beta version but I'm not sure if that explains why it didn't fix the entire ROM.

There was a link to a working patch in this video but it's not available now, so I wonder if any of you know if it can be found elsewhere. I would really appreciate it :)

Discussion Center / Suggestions for this forum
« on: March 09, 2011, 08:35:44 AM »
I had these suggestions in my mind for a while and it's about time I let them out. The main thing I want to say is that I personally think the forum needs a new skin. This one seems iffy to me, especially with the large banner. I was thinking for the new skin to be similar to the layout seen in Bootleg Games Wiki. Another thing is that certain thread should be separated into pages, like 10 posts per page. It's a bit painful to read all 50 posts that are on the one page.

Just thought I'd bring this up, as I wanted to make this place a bit better :)

Game Boy / Final Fantasy IX
« on: February 09, 2011, 12:22:40 PM »
On WhiteLionness's channel, I came across yet another pirate game and it seems to be far better than most GBC pirates, even Final Fantasy X. Here's a video of it for your viewing pleasure:

The game itself is a fusion of an RPG and platformer and I hope one day a ROM of it comes to existence. So, what do you all think of this gem?
