Oh, those are probably just Pokemon Mini clones, or the normal LCD shit you see that rips off Tamagotchi. :P I wouldn't bother with them. :\

because it's stupid/funny/interesting presumably. I could equally ask "why do you want crappy Makon games?" :D

Two Sachen Famicom stuff and two GB games.  "Padillion Gals" is just Mahjong Companion, sadly.  As for the GB stuff, there's Pokemon Carbuncle (a loose English copy) and then the Harry Potter game.  It says "Harry Potter 2 and the Sorcerer's Stone" but doesn't have the "black arts wrstle" thing.  That's because it's actually...

...It's an English release of Harry Potter 3!  The game itself is the same, but hey.  It has a copyright still intact and judging by the bad English it's likely a New Game release like Digimon Ruby and Yellow Jade.

That English! Fantastic! Also, nice finds there man. :)
Well, I kinda have you (or JP, I forget) to thank for pointing out the auction.  This was just another case of me stumbling ass backwards into an interesting find.  Oh, and I wanted to point out that the title is closer to the original release's title.  Harry's facing left like in the that version, the "Harry Potter" logo's the same, and I assume the copyright's there but the Sky League logo blocks out the bottom.  This is the image I'm talking about for reference:

Edit: the wiki mentions the original having a 2002 copyright, so this version's title is closer to the original than the hacked version's.
Yup, it was me, through Skype. ^_^

Hm, I'm not sure if there even ARE copyrights there, the bloody Sky League logo's in the way. D: I'd assume so though.
Out of curiosity, I looked for some left-over graphics in Harry Potter 3's dump. Out of surprise, I found the copyrights. ;)

Probably the whole title here, but I can't be arsed to look further. :P

nah the whole title isn't there, or at least I didn't notice anything when I was hacking it for my translation. I would have restored the copyright but I overwrote those tiles with part of my new title screen (mostly ripped from one of the EA games)

Typographical interestingness: the font used for most of the story screens is from PC Paint (naturally!)... with the sole exception of the Hagrid screen. For some unknown reason, that one is in PMingLiU, the default font in Taiwanese versions of Windows. (It's also the same font used in Digimon Ruby's intro!)

...Yes, I tend to obsess a bit over fonts. Heh.

Edited to add: And yeah, the quality of that translation further points in the direction of this game being developed by, if not VFame, someone VFame-related. It's certainly not Sintax, anyway; their translations are perfectly grammatical in comparison.

Well, it was likely translated by New Game, due to the poor English and cart design as Qiezei said. :P

I guess the Hagrid screen was "corrected" at some point... makes me wonder what the original was like.

Definitely looks like a VFame translation anyway. I think they did them in-house, rather than New Game handling them, though - their GBA translations are basically the same, and I don't think New Game had anything to do with those releases.

(For that matter, the manual layouts for the New Game-published VFame games look very much like their Chinese versions, too.)
