Title: A slight variation of the 8-bit Vii
Post by: rommaster1991 on December 14, 2010, 04:46:50 PM
OK so about a few months ago, I bought this Vii from a guy in Texas who, well, makes a living off of selling famiclones. (Here is the website: http://www.kanrio.com/ (http://www.kanrio.com/) )
And I bought this Vii from him to play Famicom carts. It described about normal multicart games and such, which I believed was not the games built in. Then after doing something an idiot would do, I bought it for $40.

OK, the console does have a box variation compared to the other one TweeterMan287 reviewed. The rest was the same, the cart had the same games. BUT the built in games were different. It contained around a 110+ games (I know the site says 111 but that is not the real number) that would be on normal famiclones, and no Trump Grand games except the ones on the cartridge :P . That's really it.

Is it just me or does the phrase "It's not a toy" have a line through it? I'm guessing they either tried to prevent a lawsuit from Sony or they realised that all it can do is play games. :P At least you get some good games on it though, unlike that other Vii which just had QSL rubbish. I'd order one of those Famiclones myself if I lived in the US. (not that one in particular though, probably the Penguin Famiclone :) )

So I guess this must be made by the same people as the Power Player Super Joy and the penguin-shaped "Power Games".

Yup, that's probably them. I think we could have found the actual distributors of the OneStation and the Wii rip-offs.

Hey! That vii Thing is really cool! BUt I don't want to drop $57 for a Famiclone. Know where I can get one for cheap?

If I did, I'd have probably bought one myself.
