Since official Nestopia has stopped development, your development is very glad.
Since Nestopia is a wonderful NES emulator, it expects that compatibility improves more.

Nestopia - Undead Edition

Nestopia has been abandoned for years. It's a great emulator,
and losing it would be a shame. The purpose of this project is to
keep Nestopia alive as long as possible and make sure it continues
to work on modern Linux distributions. In the future, Windows
builds may be maintained as well.

Enhancements will be made in an attempt to make this the best,
most user-friendly, standalone NES emulator on the Linux platform.

puNES is more nearly further than Nestopia or Nintendulator compatibility. :)

If you're talking about mapper compatibility, it can't run any of J.Y. Company's games. So mapper-wise, it's not as good as Nestopia's.

FCEUX and CaH4e3's FCEU-mm can support more mappers. puNES, on the other hand, doesn't support mappers: 83 (Cony), 90 (including 209 and 211), 163 (SNT), 164 (Waixing) and 249 (Waixing SmyNES).

Acutally my English is not good enough.

nestopia architecture is very bad , but the source code is very beautiful .Fce architecture is good, but not very friendly UI.
VirtuaNES and VirtuaNESex, VirtuaNES Plus by my friend to update.

I found that the I like Nestopia and nnnesterJ , nobody management . Idle update
