I have no idea what that Famiclone is, but I think the carts on the second image didn't come with it.
BTW, I moved the topic to the Famicom section.
-
I don't know about it, but I found this page showing another Good Boy console:
http://ultimateconsoledatabase.com/famiclones/good_boy.htm (http://ultimateconsoledatabase.com/famiclones/good_boy.htm)
This another console resembles Sega Genesis' aspect, but the one you posted looks like the European SNES console (I think).
-
That Fami looks good, which games does it includes?
-
Ehm.. Ive never been on a forum before, and i have no clue about computer games, so thanks for being patient with me, but what do you mean with carts?
-
looks like a good Famiclone yeah, its probably an earlier Taiwanese one. i totally love the boxart.
carts = cartridges btw.
-
I saw that page with the other Good boy, also i found some youtube videos with similar ones. But from one of the sites i found it seemed like there where different ones depending wich country it came from?
It came with 3x 1990 Magic Jewelry and 1x Tank
-
It's probable that the company made different models under the same brand, which is pretty normal with Famicoms. ;)
-
I think there are a few different models of Good Boy, it probably has nothing to do with the country. most likely they all came from Taiwan and they were exported all over the world.
-
It says made in Taiwan R.O.C
-
looks like all of the games there are unlicensed originals, thats pretty cool. the Tank is NTDEC's original, not the Battle City hack. and is that a boxed War in the Gulf behind it?
-
It also came with a converter and as i understand that meens you can play Nintendo 64 games on it, It tried to plug it in today but theres no power, im hoping it might be the power cord/adapter and that it might be replaced?
-
Just wondering; if it came with a cartridge converter and some Famicom carts then isn't it in the NES format?
-
No, it can't play N64. But you can use it to play NES games.
-
Yeah but the Tank game was in the war in the Gulf box
-
you can play NES games with the converter, not N64. If it won't power on it could be the adapter yeah, you can replace it with one from a model 1 Mega Drive (but don't use one from a European or US NES)
-
Stupid question in here propably, lol, but what NES?
-
Nintendo Entertainment System, it's the US/Euro equivalent of the Famicom.
-
Oh ok, thank you :)
So i cannot find a new adapter in Norway, can I find one on ebay or someplace like that?
*use not find, if I can not use any adapter from Norway/Europe, do i look for it on ebay? or where can I get one?
-
Probably, yeah - I think a Mega Drive one would be easiest to find. (at least that works with nearly every Famiclone I own - it depends on the specifications of the original adapter though). Although if you took the original adapter to an electronics shop they might have a suitable replacement I guess.
-
Oh cool, tnx! Ill try that first then :)
Im kinda on a mission to prove that something in that box of toys i bougt on an auction was worth my time of day, since all the other stuff in it was rubbish :)
-
I'm pretty sure is, provided it works. :)
-
Yeah i hope so, if not, i now actually found a store nearby me that that sells NES stuff and specialises in restoring/repearing it, maybe they can take a look at it. They should have a clue then shouldnt they?
-
I'm sure they could know what to do. Famicoms aren't much different to the NES, aside of having a different cartridge slot.
-
Yeah, as long as they at least know what a Famiclone is (and they know not to use the NES adapter with it - the NES' outputs AC but Famiclones and Famicoms take DC) they should be able to sort it out.
