Famicom/NES dumps / VTxx Dumping Thread
« on: February 03, 2018, 05:29:20 PM »
What is the cause of a bad dump? Also, the FC Pocket 472-in-1 menu--doesn't it have music as well? I'm also not hearing any music?
https://files.catbox.moe/nt9ef8.png - 288-in-1--how come it does this, btw?

I tried emulating DGUN-2573 on Nintendoulator-NRS 02-02-2018, and it works. The menu just is a bit buggy--the music doesn't work, for instance. And the preview image for Curly Monkey is glitched: https://files.catbox.moe/q9mh0z.png

This has probably been somewhat acknowledged above but I'll post about this anyway.

BeckieRGB dumped the DGUN-2573.

Also, the link is currently acting up--it doesn't want to connect on my end.
Oh now it works again, on and off? Weird. It's ok--i got the download.

Famicom/NES / VTxx BIN to NES 2.0 Converter
« on: February 02, 2018, 03:20:57 PM »
Awesome. thank you davidstech! Now the Bittboy binary seems to load fine in the Buildbot version of FCEUX! :)

I sometimes wonder if there will be a conversion script between weird bootleg NES mappers to common mappers (e.g. mapper 0, 1, 4 are known to be common ones, or MMC3) to make the bootleg games more universal (aka work in more emulators).

Sorry but I don't know enough about Cube Technology to answer your question.

Is VT09 supported in MAME yet? It doesn't seem to be marked off in the progress bar, davidstech.

And it's crazy to think if 220-in-1 would finally be emulatable in MAME.

Oh hey, you;'re right, NewRisingSun! It does run in the BuildBot  version of FCEUX! Excellent, thank you!

Has someone considered creating an executable that converts .bin to .nes? It surely has to be possible, right?

Yeah I'd like to know this as well. I hear there is no easy way to do it.

http://davidstech.net/games/multis/200%20in%201%20Retro%20TV%20Game%20(VT02).nes - Here's TV Game 200-in-1, which davidstech converted for me. It sadly does not work in FCEUX. I wonder what it runs.

1993-1999 / Are you know a strange educational game cartridge?
« on: January 28, 2018, 12:46:59 PM »
Your english does make sense, and that's pretty cool that you got that cart. That was on the  undumped list on Bootleg Games Wiki, so i'm sure a handful would appreciate if the game was dumped.

No worries, I'm just glad you dumped it. :)

Yeah i'm pretty sure it is identical. I recognize the multicart menu layout as well, so you're right about that one.

I also never heard of the Thumbs Up brand--do you know anything else about them?

Newrisingsun, did you add new features to the Nintendoulator? There's now a BMP screenshot option
and yes thank you a lot for this release too :)

Famicom/NES / "Licensed" Famiclones
« on: January 17, 2018, 07:03:42 PM »
Interesting compilation of licensed Famiclone designers. I actually seem to really like dreamGear's products, like their plug'n'play, 220-in-1 NES handheld, and the 220-in-1 Sunplus handheld. Getting a controller plug'n'play soon too.

I never heard of MSI Entertainment though. But one game on a plug'n'play. ONE GAME? That's low, even for Chinese company plug'n'play designers.
