dunno where to put this for the best really but I've made an emulator.. or I've hacked up an existing emulator, at least: http://bitbucket.org/taizou/hhugboy (http://bitbucket.org/taizou/hhugboy)
it runs unmodified Sintax & Li Cheng games so its kinda relevant!
-
Hopefully there'll be more mappers supported through out the year. :D
-
Hm, I wonder if it'll be possible to get Queen of Fighters 2000 or Super Fighter 2001 to work under this. Right now is one of those times I really wish I understood Game Boy assembly better...
-
Yeah, me too. I haven't had much luck with Vast Fame games so far (and unfortunately I don't think either of those two got a Li Cheng release, which would have helped a lot).
-
With this emulator, it might be possible to post the new dumps in their raw state (ie, the CaH4e3 way). Just a note: when you post them, type a notice saying that they'll work only on there.
-
yeah, will do. I still intend to fix as many dumps as possible to work on generic mappers though, so people can still play them in other emus.. at least until support for these dumps becomes widespread enough that I don't have to (if that ever happens)
-
Well I'd like to see support in stuff like Gambatte, which is a multiplatform GBC emulator, and then maybe GBC.emu (for phones and stuff) can pick it up from there. :D
Oh and Gambatte actually emulates the Pocket Monster Saphire sound bug! Maybe you could add support from it? :O
-
in the meanwhile, support for raw dumps of Sintax games has been added to MESS (the MAME brother emu for computer/consoles, which works on Win/Unix/MacOSx)
we'll see if sintamas (gambatte's author) will add it as well
-
:O Awesome, that's amazing news! :D
Hoping to see some Li Cheng support in MESS, too. :)
-
as soon as any Li Cheng dump is available, I will add support for it ;)
