2000-present / DreamGear
« on: November 08, 2011, 01:38:50 PM »
Thought DreamGear was Trump Grand and Jungletac? Seems they have (or had) more than that! Take a look at their archived website specifically, This listing for a now-discontinued 76-in-1 Do my eyes decieve me? War and Dragon Running? And here's a hither-to-unseen DreamGear 60-in-1 that has Panda Adventure, Space Shuttle exploration, and Dragon running (maybe others, the last page is never showed)

And also, the 76-in-1 has Hurry Burry and Dringle, which are by Waixing. and the 60-in-1 has Bar Room Shootout, which as far as we know is by NTDEC.

Seems they have more companies on their side than we thought.

2000-present / Titenic
« on: October 28, 2011, 04:35:41 PM »
Figured it was high time Titenic got its own topic, now that it has its own rom (and it's taking over the 15in1 investigation topic). If you haven't already seen it, I made a playthrough of it.
Part 1
Part 2 (needs fixed, Youtube clipped the last few minutes.) Never mind, I fixed it.
Also, it has some really bad programming. There's a glitch throughout the game where you can get up from being dead by mashing everything and another glitch where Rose falls through the floor towards the end of the video. Also, at the very beginning of the rising water level, there's a floating glitch blob in the lower left corner of the screen. What's up with that?

« on: October 10, 2011, 06:32:22 PM »
It seems our old friend Yonathan Cohen (the guy who sold the Super Joy) is back with a new model. Behold, The Power Player Super joystick and Power blaster.

Here's the games list from Amazon.com:
Contra, Knight, World Soccer, King of Fighter, Tekken, WWF, Tetris, Super Mario Brothers, Arkanoid, 1942, Star Force, F-1 Race, Popeye, Galaga, Jumping Kid, Knight Hero, Pacman, Star Gate (AKA) Defender, Space Invaders, Mario Brothers, Exerion, Road Fighter, Dig Dug, Twin Bee, Binary Land, Door Door, Spartan (AKA) Kung Fu, Island, Wild Gunman, Ice Ocean, Arabian, Helicopter, Donkey Kong, Lode Runner, Battlefield, Antartic, Sky Destroyer, Balloon Fight, Millipede, Circus Charlie, Golf, Clu Clu Land, Desert Tank, Combat, Baseball, Magic Jewelry, Macross, Milk and Nuts, Slacom, Speed Tank, Galaxian, Dr. Mario, Ice Climber, Hogans Alley, Galaga, Mice Love Cat, Zippy Race, Calculator, Clay Shooting, Toy Story, Tennis, Pinball, Lunar Ball, Monkey, Sqoon, Pooyan, Contra, Duck Hunt, Burger Time, Excite Bike, Formation, Dr. Mario, Mappy, Bomber Man, Urban Champion, Devil World

Jumping Kid? As in, the Nice Code game?

Tekken on the NES?

...

Bah! It's another Super Joy!

Famicom/NES dumps / Games Xplosion 121-in-1 and DreamGear 101-in-1
« on: October 08, 2011, 04:52:04 PM »
CaH4e3 should recieve these soon, so I just figured I'd let you guys know what to expect. If you hadn't already seen the Games Xplosion, here's a series of videos showcasing the games.

A few games from the 101-in-1 that aren't dumped yet are:

Space Destroyer Exploration - Space Shuttle by ABAB, with a different title screen. I'm willing to bet the original title is still somewhere in the tiles
Police Vs Thief, Space Base, Climbing, and a few others now come with a 2-player mode. Up for a netplay, anyone?
Hunter - Not a Duck Hunt hack, but a clone.
Jumping Fish - I believe this was on one of Taizou's powerjoy supermax carts.
Dringle - the Waixing puzzle game
Detonate - ANOTHER Bomberman 2004 clone
Contest 2004 - Game that just looks like a generic space shooter. I believe there was actually a contest with a cash prize involved at one point.
Fun Click - hack of Picaclick off the pokemon 4-in-1
Ghost Castle - clone of Saboteur for the Atari 2600
Antiquarium - A strange fishing game where you have to fish for various copyright infringements with VERY random bait (Credit Cards, Skulls, Toilet Paper, a Cat, an Apple, and a walkie-talkie)
Bicycle Race - I think it's a hack of Pole Position
Egg Contest - You control a rabbit running back and forth to catch eggs falling from a running chicken
Penta Base - Hack of Final Man with a pentagram.
Numbers, Addition, Crystals, Fruit, and a few others - AAARGH! MATH GAMES! IT BURNS!
Scuba Hunt - Remake of Buzz Bombers

There are probably a few other noteworthy games, but I can't remember them.

The games with a strikethrough were recently dumped on Taizou's Power Joy carts.

2000-present / DreamGear 86-in-1 investigation
« on: October 08, 2011, 02:39:08 PM »
Does anyone else have one of these? I got one back in '04, and I recently dug it up to get it dumped (the controller broke when I opened it). Unfortunately, CaH4e3 couldn't dump it, and it had some really weird games on it. A few notable ones that I remember are:

Deerstalking - a hunting game where you move a target over an infinite highway and forest to try and kill 5 deer.
Dringle - That puzzle game from Waixing/Subor's downloadable games, but without the music.
Hurry Burry - Another Waixing puzzle game without the music
Panda Adventure - the Hummer/ABAB game
Ghost Castle - An as-of-yet undumped clone of Saboteur for the 2600
Toy Bricks - The game from Taizou's Powerjoy Supermax 30-in-1 where you make a picture using predefined shapes
Wonder Ball - a Trump Grand game where you have to get yellow and brown balls into the correct holes.
Wonder Rabbit - A version that uses the select button, even though the unit doesn't have one.

I think Dragon Running and War may have been on it as well.

Other Pirates / The Other Vii
« on: September 30, 2011, 11:07:54 PM »
No, You didn't read the title wrong. There's ANOTHER Vii out there. And no, it's not another 8-bit famiclone, It's a proprietary 16/32 bit system! Take a look at This Alibaba Listing. What's that? More proof? Well, Okay! Here's Three Gameplay Videos.

Yeah, It's another weird Wii clone. Here's a brief description of the games:

Ping Pong - It's a bit like the Cube-Tech tennis game. And you can Practise instead of Practice!
Tennis - The same game again, but with tennis graphics
Boxing - Aside from some really good animation, it's a mediocre boxing game
Badminton - Once again, It's the ping pong game, with slightly altered physics.
Bowling - There wasn't too much footage of this one, but it looks like a cell phone bowling game.

Columns - Direct Columns clone, right down to the stolen graphics. Uses Butterfly as the BGM.
Incept Presents - Mad Xmas from the Dreamgear, but with an angel and a penguin.
Precious Stone - Tetris, with graphics stolen from Tengen Tetris. The game field is way too wide.
Flash Ghost - That game where you test your concentration, with the guy from Adventure Island
Black White Chess - Othello
Huarong Road - Modified version of Hua Rong Dao by Waixing
Memory - The SMB3 card flip, with pictures of Asian girls (Good thing Sachen and Hacker didn't make it)
Find Same Picture - Mahjong, with many, many stolen pictures from Pokemon.
Snake - Snake
Puzzle Bobble - Wow, they even ripped off the name! It's a direct carbon copy, but the physics are worse.
Guess fruit - Dian Shi Ma Li, but they replaced Fortran with a stolen King of Fighters picture.
Falcon - Tapper clone with pre-rendered 3D graphics
Ware.House - Sokoban
Fight to Fire - Clone of the Game and Watch Fire, with stolen sprites from Mario!
Shuttle - Some game where you have to slide around on ice to touch a sign.

The biggest difference between this one and the other ones is probably the blatant plagiarism. That and the surprisingly good graphics and sound.

1993-1999 / NTDEC 110 in 1 on Ebay
« on: September 21, 2011, 07:12:02 PM »
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NES-FAMICOM-110-1-MULTI-CART-NTDEC-caltron-52-6-/260847698915?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item3cbbbc03e3#ht_1546wt_1270
What the heck is going on here? Pacman is on the cover as well as some stolen artwork from an official Nintendo comic. The games list is on the back, but it's in chinese/japanese (I can't tell).

This looks rather interesting, but unfortunately I don't think anyone on this forum has $1K to plink down for it.

The ??? indicates that there is a game there, but I'm not revealing what it is. Leave suggestions for games in the reply section.

Rules:
1. They must be actual pirate games, no hacks of legitimate ones.

3. The games must be already dumped (except for maybe Titenic or Bugtris)

I'm also accepting suggestions for a label.

The Community / What are we gonna do about Klax?
« on: August 23, 2011, 07:53:52 PM »
Should we give him one more chance? Since he's back, there's a pretty big chance he'll bump a bunch of topics with stupid crap or go back to his old ways of nonsense posting. What should we do?

P.S. I'm pretty sure I'm not offending him because he posted himself: "Who cares about your feelings? Not me!"

Wonderful Wide Web / Aperture Science's Website
« on: August 18, 2011, 10:59:19 PM »
I remember back when Portal was released, Aperture Science had a website hosted at aperturescience.com, which is now just a 3d panorama holiday scene with the companion cube and cake. But you've gotta love the Wayback machine!

http://web.archive.org/web/20070224030719/http://www.aperturescience.com/

Username: CJOHNSON (Chell)
Password: TIER3
(or you could just use any name longer than 2 characters and type Portal as a password.)
Once you've "logged in" type HELP for a list of commands (since you've apparently just tapped into a GLaDOS network.) or type THE CAKE IS A LIE for a funny message.

Game Boy / Jungletac GBA ROMs Found
« on: August 08, 2011, 12:32:48 PM »
Thought they were running on proprietary hardware? I guess not! I found the roms in .JGC format on my Dingoo A320, which could only be played on the proprietary GBA emulator. Then I found them on a chinese website in .GBA format! I tested them in VisualBoyAdvance, and they work! The games included are:

Bubble Blaster
Bump Bomb
Fire Fighter
Hero Legend
Hide and Seek
Hot Drop
Jewel Fever 2
Jewel Master
Manic Troll
Pinball Fish
Pop Ball
Rapid Stream
Rolling Cube
Squirrel Bobble
Super Move Quest
Tiger Rescue

And without farther stalling, Here's the download link!  cool:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=B77B3KG6
I don't normally use Megaupload, but Mediafire is being stupid and hangs my computer whenever I upload something.
Megaupload be dead

I sure hope Brydo sees this for Pirate Showcase!

Other Pirates / Odd message from the Vii
« on: July 07, 2011, 12:05:52 PM »
I was using M.E.S.S. to try out some Vii software, when I ran into this message while i was playing:

Now there's something I never thought I'd see in a pirated system.
On a side note, I like how they left the Acclaim logo in the background from whatever game they stole it from.

Other Pirates / Unreleased Vii Games
« on: July 04, 2011, 11:06:57 PM »
While I'm still waiting for my Vii to show up in the mail, I looked on Jungletac's website, and came across some really weird discoveries. Unused Vii Games? Take a look at these screenshots:

Archery?

The Basketball game that was on the Zone 60? But with the Vii characters?

What happened? Where did these come from?

Wonderful Wide Web / Jungletac's revamped website
« on: June 25, 2011, 08:41:59 PM »
http://jungletac.com/web/index.aspx
Jungletac's gone and completely redesigned their website, with their new logo apparently being a chameleon. Why? How should i know?
