I hope this game makes it far. If I remember correctly, there's been a couple other PGC games made by other members, but they didn't go past the first one or two levels.

I was thinking more along the lines of the Pokemon Stadium pirate for SNES and Megadrive, with some elements from other pirates. Not even gonna try to do a traditional fighter since GM7 is crap for that sort of thing.

Coming soon? A year later and there are still no screenshots.
Unfortunately, this project is currently in the realm of vaporware due to my bad habit of talking up projects long before I should (when they are in very early development and it's very likely I will lose interest) that I had at the time.
It might be a good idea to create some concepts before showing off progress. I'll probably try that later. I'm very reluctant with working on my own games, though.
