This may sound stupid, considering the nature of this thread, but... why the hell even the latest FCEUmm doesn't read separate .bin files? o_0
Probably becuase CaH4e3 hasn't updated it in ages. -_-
Still, he told on his website that the .bin images ARE openable in FCEUmm. No matter what, no matter how, my head is still troubled.
May ya explain the noob if there's any other way to open this? :pandaaway:
Ah, I think he might have forgotten (or simply not bothered) to update his site. There's been a couple of revisions on FCEUmm earlier this month. Haven't tested to see if it supports .bin files yet though.
The main problem is, I haven't a clue how to download or implement the revisions. :\ Here's (http://fceumm.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/fceumm?view=revision&revision=75) the latest revision, in case you can't find it.
Seems like I'll need to mess up with the compilers then, but thanks anyway.
Still, the same question, simplified: how the heck do I run it? I mean, with what exactly?

Thanks!
I just realised something. If he's making support for .bin files and he started the revisions about a week ago, surely it won't be long before he releases a new version of FCEUmm. :)

I wonder if the Unchained Melody multicarts may be hacked similar way, actually.

Well if you know how to dump flash carts, I'd send you one. :D
The bigger problem I have at the moment is finding a famicom cartridge slot - I will probably end up hotwiring one in a broken famiclone.
Not sure how using a broken Famiclone would be better than using a working one, but I'm not the best person to ask when it comes to that stuff.

I already have a famclone earmarked for salvage, so no problem there. Probably won't be able to start on my dumper for some tine, as I need to get an Arduino and some other components first.
I forgot to explain this before, but I was hoping that someone could solve a problem for me. The pointers to each game (as defined by the menu data) work by finding the start point and size of the PRG and CHR banks. However, as far as I can tell, both are required and as a result, I can't get any UNROM and UOROM games to work. (Those formats have no CHR-ROM)

Works fine for me - heres a mirror though: http://www.mediafire.com/?cgo8kbjmbd6lbbp (http://www.mediafire.com/?cgo8kbjmbd6lbbp)

I could be wrong, but I'm guessing it's something to do with two hex numbers before the game name. For most games it's "A7 86" with the exception of Adventure Island (37 87) and BPS Tetris (D7 86). Haven't got a clue what these numbers do, but they're required to make the games start up.
Edit: Crash Nicker managed to find me a bunch of MMC3 conversions I wasn't aware of, such as the original Double Dragon and Ninja Gaiden. I'm reluctant to make a sequel unless I can work out how to make UNROM games work though. :X
Hi, would you be able to re-upload the file please? The mediafire link isn't working anymore. :(
Don't worry about it if you can't though.
Thanks!
