Title: Strange TMNT pirate cartridge?
Post by: recorderdude on April 05, 2013, 11:31:51 AM
So, I was looking around ebay for genesis lots and happened upon some from a popular bulk seller. However, when looking closer in this lot, I found something rather...interesting.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sega-Genesis-Lot-of-25-Classic-Games-/390568054424?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5aefab8e98 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sega-Genesis-Lot-of-25-Classic-Games-/390568054424?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5aefab8e98)

Take a look at the bottom left corner. That's obviously a TMNT pirate, as the sticker is too small for the cartridge and it uses the logo from the 2000s reboot. Anyone know what's on it? Just hyperstone heist/tournament fighters, a glorysun graphics hack...maybe even a pirate original?

[/quote]Three options: either it's Hyperstone Heist (more probable) or Tournament Fighters (less probable) or that crappy Return of the Legend beat 'em up (totally improbable).

Your safest bet is to ask the guy who sells this stuff. Although I guess he doesn't even have a MegaDrive clone or even a region swapper like Mega Key. And if he doesn't, he won't be able to tell you for sure.

He's a bulk reseller, so I sincerely doubt he'd test that one cartridge, especially considering the auction ends in three hours. I was just wondering myself if anybody knew the cartridge purely by its art.

Looks like the auction ended. Did you buy it?

Didn't get it, but RobGBA told me he found out it was just a hack of the ben 10 fighting game.

Yeah I remembered there was a TMNT fighting game talked about in the Mario 3, 4 and Ben 10 thread.
