Hacker Center / Palette Remakes.
« on: February 28, 2015, 10:48:40 AM »
Sometimes, in a nes game, i was thinking, Why developers don't use better colors to this game?
So, i got a idea to remake the colors of the games, like contra, before when i was noob at romhacking.
I just hacked the colors because i don't know how to use tile layer pro, that is just insert the rom and that's it.
So here you got a contra with a better palette + cutscenes from japanese version.
Hope you enjoy! I gonna post more with the time, so enter in this topic sometime, to see new color hacks.

1993-1999 / Is this even real?
« on: February 25, 2015, 10:03:52 AM »
I was searching for photo's from bootleg games, when suddenly.
I have found this!

Yeah, it's Super Mario Kart, But it don't seems so legit, looks like somenome printed the SNES Cover, and inserted in a Generic Famicom Cart.
Also i have found some screenshots!

By judging, this screenshots don't looks SO real, looks like more a romhack made by somebody, i dare if there's a video of it running on a console.  :)

The Big Old Arcade / NES x SMS
« on: February 20, 2015, 08:52:03 PM »
Both are great consoles generation 8-bit , and the Nes ( famicom ) was absolute leader in sales in Japan and the United States , on the other hand the Master system won the markets in Europe and Brazil , which the objective is to compare the topic the graphics of the games released for these consoles are some examples:

Ninja Gaiden

The version of the master system is graphically superior to those settings and characters . But in Nes you are faced with incredible custscenes in motion, and the sound is masterpiece of 8 bits , not to mention having more stages and a decent movie ening.

Zelda x Golvellius

Golvellius is one of the best games of the master , has good graphics and very colorful scenarios , which is very similar to the Zelda Nes . However, zelda although it has inferior graphics ( on the cartridge package came a paper map for you to turn in game..hehe ) , has a magical soundtrack, with all an atmosphere of adventure and fun.

Super Mario Bros. x Alex Kidd

The only advantage of super mario is that it has more stages . However, Alex Kidd is superior in everything : Scenarios , gameplay , sound, and fun ( the reason for made me buy a master system.) , simply the most fun game master , and even educational, it teaches playing " paper, rock, scissors " .     and with Mario I had was terrified of playing a horrible character , adult, with mustache...   but on the cover he has a bit friendly.  :)

Altered Beast

Simply a massacre . . .

Alered beast is a good example to show the master 's processing speed because it puts up to 5 enemies on the same screen, and the version of Nes ... No comments ...  :angry2:

Comparison sound

I believe that a sound power heard in Nes , is in Ninja Gaiden II , act 3 , part II:

As for the master system , there's a lacking in good melodies . But i tried hard enough to find a good sound example:

Smooth Moviments

Nes - Batman Revenge of the Joker . There are many people that believes that is a game of the same level of some of the mega drive games ( Dahna for example)

Master system - Shadow dancer . The game is very similar to the arcade without owing anything : openness, bonus stage , and still the ninja to launch the special move screams a whole sentence ( above the shadow dancer of the mega drive that point)

THE FINAL ARGUMENTS!!!

Nes - Double Dragon II . Simply incredible graphics, with custscenes , beautiful soundtrack, great gameplay and more fun than the arcade, it's good to play with a friend.

The master had don't had Double Dragon II , but had a port of street of rage that in graphics is very similar to Mr. Mega Drive

What's your opinion?  :)

1993-1999 / The History of The NES in Brazil.
« on: January 31, 2015, 11:53:20 AM »
Ok, I don't know where to post this but i want to tell you the history of the nintendo here on brazil, and you can get information, and you can be more smart
Ok so... here we go, should ya?  :thumb:

Brazil played an important role in the history of NES . But not very happy , it is true . This is because national companies launched consoles compatible with the Famicom and NES on their own. Piracy , in fact , but so far it is not known how Nintendo , and the Playtronic , just let these consoles live . Below is a list of all known NES clones launched in the country.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Dynavision 2 Standard : Famicom ( 60-pin )Manufacturer: Dynacom
Release year : 1989
Manufactured cartridges themselves to the system? : Yup

The Dynavision 2 was the first console compatible with the NES launched in Brazil in May 1989 by Dynacom , starting fever NES in the country. The controllers are Atari style , and the "Select" button is located on the console. Dynacom still manufactured various accessories for the console , including 3D glasses ; plus an adapter for the console support American Standard cartridges ( 72-pin ) and own cartridges

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Dynavision 3
Standard: NES (72-pin) and Famicom (60-pin)
Manufacturer: Dynacom
Release year: 1991
Manufactured cartridges themselves to the system? : Yup

Not satisfied with the possibilities of your console before the competition, Dynacom launched in 1991 the third version of its console. The system now had the same double system (fitting for the two standards cartridges) of CCE. The joysticks have greatly improved, with turbo resources and professional format. A great feature of Dynavision 3 was the possibility of getting a stereo connecting a headset (contained in the package) to the console audio port. In 1992 was also released the Extreme model.

Dynavision 3 Action
Standard: NES (72-pin) and Famicom (60-pin)
Manufacturer: Dynacom
Release year: 1994
Manufactured cartridges themselves to the system? : Yup

At this time, the Dynacom had already launched in Brazil Aquapad line for the Super NES and the Superfighter for the Mega Drive. This model changed controllers, which were similiar to those of Mega. The gun also became part of the package.

Handyvision
Standard: NES (72-pin) and Famicom (60-pin)
Manufacturer: Dynacom
Release year: 1993
Manufactured cartridges themselves to the system? : Yup

This console, only compatible with the American standard, possessed an interesting quirk: had a Game Genie built. A feature really tempting for those who worshiped cheat in games. Also if you put no catridges on the console and just use in the tv you get 7 Games to play. without catridges.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Bit System
Standard: NES (72-pin)
Manufacturer: Dismac
Release year: 1989
Manufactured cartridges themselves to the system? : Yup

What draws attention in the Bit System is its similarity to the original NES. The console also eliminates the need for adapters as plugs for entering the controllers are identical to the American NES. It also has own gun and cartridges.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Standard: NES (72-pin)
Manufacturer: Gradient
Release year: 1989
Manufactured cartridges themselves to the system? : Yup

The Phantom System was the NES clone most popular in the country. The console design is like an Atari 7800 (legend has it that the gradient had plans to launch the Atari 7800 in brazil) and the controllers are a lost brother from the Mega Drive.

An interesting curiosity: the Gradient had the rights to manufacture NES cartridges. Not of Nintendo, but the developers softhouses (Tengen, Activision, etc.). However, the gradient reached market cartridges under the assumed name of Falcon Soft; and yes these were pirates (for they were Nintendo games such as Super Mario Bros. series, and Knock Out !!, the latter displayed in the image).

Among the many stories, trivia, and piracy, we have to admit: it was not for nothing that the Phantom System could be the clone of NES most popular in Brazil. The Gradient made a simple campaign but well made, around him. and it came with a poster.

Top Game VG9000
Standard: NES (72-pin) and Famicom (60-pin)
Manufacturer: CEC
Release year: 1990
Manufactured cartridges themselves to the system? : Yup

The VG9000 CCE was the first national console to have slots for both standard cartridges (60 and 72-pin), which made him very popular. After its launch, many companies copied the idea. The console still possessed a great laser gun and more anatomical controls. It is important that the frizar VG9000, had a previous version, VG8000, which was only compatible with 60-pin cartridges.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Turbo Game
Standard: NES (72-pin) and Famicom (60-pin)
Manufacturer: CEC
Release year: 1991
Manufactured cartridges themselves to the system? : Yup

It is the evolution of the Top Game, also of CCE. Their cartridges were produced by the company Vic Video Game until 1992. Its controls had the inverted design of the Phantom, with turbo function. In the fashion, the double system system remains.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Standard: NES (72-pin)
Manufacturer: Milmar
Release year: 1990
Manufactured cartridges themselves to the system? : Yup

The Hi-Top Game had a total of three versions. The most advanced was launched in 1991. The console was one of the cheapest in the market, and still offered unpublished cartridges, licensed by AVE. The Start and Select buttons are located on the CONSOLE!!!

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Top System
Standard: NES (72-pin) and Famicom (60-pin)
Manufacturer: Milmar
Release year: 1994
Manufactured cartridges themselves to the system? : Yup

The Top System is the successor to the Hi-Top Game (also the Milmar). Had a late start, so had no chance to compete with the 16-bit systems that have dominated the country. Top System, also owned slots 60 and pins 72 cartridges.

The Milmar today is a company that stopped manufacturing electronics. For some reason, the company stopped producing consoles, computers, fax machines and modems to, to currently produce curiously boats and launches.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Super Charger
Standard: Famicom (60-pin)
Manufacturer: IBTC
Release year: 1990
Manufactured cartridges themselves to the system? : Do Not

This console is similiar to dendy design. Possessed with function button to eject the cartridges. The IBTC failed to make cartridges for the Super Charger. However, the company imported east pirates cartridges.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Geniecom
Standard: NES (72-pin)
Manufacturer: Geniecom
Release year: 1992
Manufactured cartridges themselves to the system? : Do Not

This console, only compatible with the American standard, possessed an interesting quirk: had a Game Genie built. A feature really tempting for those who worshiped cheat in games.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Prosystem-8
Standard: NES (72-pin)
Manufacturer: Brazil Chips
Release year: 1994
Manufactured cartridges themselves to the system? : Yup

Brazil's Chips company has worked in the video games area, manufacturing controllers and even cartridges for various platforms. But in 1994, the company decided to enter the branch of consoles and released the prosystem-8, which had a design very similar to the Super Famicom (Japanese SNES). The Pro-System 8 was accompanied by Super-Pro 3 controllers, who had turbo function and slow motion. For the same reason the Top System, and went out of the market.

Dynavision 3 Radical!
Standard: NES (72-pin) and Famicom (60-pin)
Manufacturer: Dynacom
Release year: 1994
Manufactured cartridges themselves to the system? : Yup

At this time, the Dynacom had already launched in Brazil Aquapad line for the Super NES and the Superfighter for the Mega Drive. This model changed controllers, which were equal to those of Mega. The gun also became part of the package.

Pirated Work / Retrieving a unreleased GBC Game.
« on: December 21, 2014, 06:07:54 PM »
OK. I One day i has on the internet. searching for stuff then suddenly i founded a site called unseen64. it's interesting got beta games, unreleased games. and stuff. its cool to find like the BETA From consoles such PSX,NES,GB,GBC,GBA,SNES, And even CDI!!
But theres a game that called my attention it's a unreleased south park game, that should be released on 1998. But the game don't released due, that GBC has a console that has owned generally by kids, so the game has unreleased, only TREY PARKER, and the creators from south park have the prototype of the catridge. that is a  good mistery. that no one knows. until today...

So readed. a line from the text and '' South Park videogame was planned for the GameBoy Color and was in development at Acclaim studios in 1998, but sadly the project was soon cancelled by the shows creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone due to them feeling that the game isn’t right for the Game Boy Color as children were the main demographic for the system. There are not many info on this game and only a single screenshot was published in an old Nintendo Power magazine (issue 114). The prototype cartridge now belongs to Trey and Matt, commemorating the very first South Park game ever created.

It seems that after the South Park game was cancelled Acclaim didn’t want all their investment in the project to go to waste so it was changed to Maya the Bee and published in Europe. After a little more tweaking it also became the New Adventures of Mary Kate & Ashley and published in the US. If you check videos of these 2 games, you can see that the HUD is basically the same, the platforms and the ladders are similar''

So... If Maya the Bee, Had the same HUD BAR From the both games. so. why not making the same game using the same engine. with graphics, and even musical changes. you know.

Pretty low quality huh.?

But i was looking this image for a time and... Theres, CARTMAN, (OR IS THIS STAN?) And too have kyle, this is craig. yep. And what's down there? It's kenny! So judging by this screenshot.

You need to push the lever to broke the ice, so you can save kenny before they, KILL KENNY! YOU BASTARDS :P
And i played the maya the bee game, and in this level got 3 flowers and a spider comes and destroy this flowers.
So judging,
Instead of spiders, we have aliens, that kill the cows?  O_o
But sometimes i think this is Ike the kyle brother.

So i'm retrieving the game back. making maya the bee romhack.

Also i'm trying to convert this low quality image to HIGH QUALITY, so i can make the romhack more faster. So if you want to help me, you are welcome!.

« on: December 08, 2014, 10:13:52 AM »
In 1992. gradiente being ''awesome'' of Popular NES GAMES here in my country like. Ghostbusters,Pretador,Gauntlet,Super sprint and more. it's makes me cry. what saved the brazilian game market has the piracy. of clones like Dynavision,TurboGame. Phantom system and there goes more. Also, Grandiente not released ''Super Irmãos'' (Super Bros. in english.) And who made this has falconsoft that maked and translated and removed copyrights of NES Games.

has i already said Super Mario bros. Transformed in ''Super Irmãos.''

GOAL! Transformed in ''GOL DE CRAQUE'' (Gol de craque is a way to say ''Awesome goal'' or something like that translated.)

Also... Let's take a closer look. THERE'S NO BALL!

Duck hunt has translated. it's called Caça ao pato (Means. errrm... Duck hunt.)

Super Irmãos 2 never released. it's just the prototype version of super mario bros in the cart.
I want to know. HERE THE HELL FALCON SOFT FOUNDED THE PROTOTYPE VERSION?!

Mike tyson Punch out!! It's just KNOCK-OUT!! (Some kids called this game NOCAUTE )

Rad Racer. Got a title. that in pure coincidence it's has made before the REAL Speed Racer.  O_o

Ones is just the normal titles. (THANK GOD!) Seems Legit.

Pirated Work / Super Boy Converted into NES!
« on: December 03, 2014, 07:35:20 PM »
I decided, to port the zemina's super boy on the nes.
Because it's not soo good on the limitations of the msx, and sms.
So with better limitations i put everything of the msx version.
Titlescreen, pallette, graphics. now i want change the music
to make it more like the msx version. also the original game
don't have warp zone so i made my own warp zone to make it looks like
a typo that zemina would make like:
''ITS SECRET PLACE!''

Some characters that's not in superboy i coverted is palettes to make looks like the limitations of the MSX.
Images bellow. and hope you ''like'' it.

And the game is in the attachments because my pc is being a jealous about uploading stuff.

Also happy holidays. and everybody have a good new year!

GOD SPEEDS YOU!

I'm doing the same thing with Other Zemina games on the NES.

And i have a ''good idea'' to hack urusei yatsura and hack it and call Elevator Action 2.
And Elevator Action in Urusei Yatsura. It's because the gameplay is very identical to the 2 games.

It's a new hobby that i have. Transform the clone into the game. and the game into a clone. GET IT? ;D

« on: November 28, 2014, 03:13:29 PM »
So, I got a famiclone since i was kid and it's works still today, but i got a problem. my second controller is glitchy, like the second controller Turbo A Button is stuck and i can't push the button. The others are working normal A,B,Select,Start The slow lever. (It's a lever that if you push the lever the games goes slow-motion! Interesting for a famiclone   ) Someone can help me fix this? I tryed to open the controller but it's everything is okay. and one part of the chip is a bit scratched. on the right side.  :|

Edit : I try opened again. BUT I HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM!!!    The controller, when i press Turbo A button. the game is auto pressing A button. without doing anything. it's works back when i remove the turbo buttons. :'(
