Game Boy dumps / Pokemon Emerald bootleg translation

Other than a very poor translation, and difficulty in holding my saves, nothing noticed. Anything more is best to direct to taizou, assuming he had a chance to check it out, since I sent it his way in thanks. I only wanted to play this game, and a dump was more reliable.

Good to know that there is another link if needed. I keep it on my own PC but that doesn't help other people.

Elf? I think that might be the Vietnam bootleg version. I think that used Elf to refer to the pokemon.

I couldn't stand the GBA release of Shining Force, but that is more because they made so many changes to the gameplay mechanics.

You need to update that. I added more games yesterday than you have total on your list.

Backloggery is a site where you can list games you own, as well as if they have been beaten or not. Since it doesn't use a pre made database of titles, having you enter the titles of each game yourself, you can enter even the most obscure bootlegs as well as all your commercial games. If it sounds interesting, make your own page. Be sure to post a link when you have it set up.

I used a DS Lite and DS flash cart with some dumping program. You have the GBA game in Slot 2, the DS flash cart in Slot 1. Run the program, you have the option of dumping / restoring the save (useful for hacking my pokemon saves :P) or dumping the ROM. If you want it, I can link it for you, but I will need to get home first so I can get the link.

Now I wish I was home to play it. Thanks for this.

Game Boy / Trying to hunt down a dump of a certain bootleg
« on: March 12, 2012, 04:21:34 AM »
A while ago, I bought a GBA bootleg. The cartridge says AdvanceSP 112IN1 256M, the game menu has SUPER GBA 112 IN 1. It has a poorly translated version of Pokemon Emerald (Title screen calls it Pocket Monster: Pokemon Emerald), Pokemon Ruby, Finding Nemo 2 / Finding Nemo: The Continuing Adventures, and then 109 NES games, both commercial releases and hacks. I was rather interested in playing the mentioned version of Pokemon Emerald, but the save system is glitchy on the cart and after making a dump, I haven't found an emulator capable of running it. I'm also aware of it being available on a cart by itself, but I have been unable to find one, and of the two people I found online with it, one hasn't responded after several months, and the other is unwilling to part with their copy nor can they dump it. I have a link describing Pocket Monsters: Pokemon Emerald (the page being that of the person who hasn't responded). Anyone know if there is a dump of the solo release?

I'm also willing to post the dump if anyone wants it despite the fact it doesn't seem to work in emulators.
