Going through Cah4e3's game collection, I found the Harry Potter cart he has:

The ID number "K1916", does it sound familiar or has anyone seen it on another cart?

I've always wondered what that "K" actually stood for and why it's there.

Yeah me too. I wonder if "K" and Taiwan Shin-Shin are even the same company actually.. the only place Shin-Shin is mentioned is EWJ2, and you could interpret that screen as meaning Taiwan Shin-Shin is the "exclusive agening in Peking" for K, rather than K and Shin-Shin being the same entity.

edit- maybe K is even NT, come to think of it. NT's Chinese name is "Ka Sheng", and the two logos often appear together on hidden screens and whatnot. though you'd think they would have used the "K" logo on cart labels if that was the case.

I saw some of those cartridge with word KING on them.

K cartridges aren't/weren't sold in Taiwan. (Hummer Team is based in Taiwan).

Weren't they sold in China at least seeing how Cah4e3 wrote "Chinese" on his cart? (Which probably meant that was the one with the Chinese title)

It's about language, not were it was sold. Also the English version was done from scratch by some random hackers.

I'm pretty sure K isn't related to NT. Too many things are different.

http://fuji.drillspirits.net/stuff/kmultis.jpg[/quote]I find it amusing that they refer to Captain Tsubasa by his Arabic dub name (Majid) on one of those carts!

Wonder if that's just an amusing translation gaffe, or if these things were intended to be sold in the Middle East?

Yeah, maybe it was - they probably sold them all over the world. although I guess they werent that committed to the Middle East, its not in Arabic or anything. Its not even a Captain Tsubasa game though, it's just a title hack of Tecmo World Cup Soccer. With the same typo as the label.

That's strange. But those King cartridge were sold in Arabic countries too. So it may not be a mistake.
But those cartridge case are from Thailand...

i think theyre more likely from China than Thailand, I got them from a UK distributor. and I do have some carts that I know for sure are Thai, they seem to be made of lower quality plastic than these ones.
