:o Awesome, I didn't think it would be that simple.. :P

Daaaaamn I really want that X Men VS Street Fighter SNES bootleg but I don't have 50 bucks to shell out for such an awful game.. Though I understand the price since it's rare as hell.

On a side note, how hard is it to do a Paypal transaction for this kind of thing? On the recieving end, that is. If it isn't too hard I might put a few little things up I don't need anymore..

Famicom/NES / Annoyance trying to play Famicom games
« on: February 25, 2012, 11:48:23 PM »
Well I bought the honeyBee for 45 dollars total.. Pretty expensive but it looked to be in awesome condition. But then I checked again and someone has a bunch of bright green ones for only 25 dollars, and you get two of them. Seems like a much better deal, but then again they might not work as well either.

I cant wait for that honeyBee to get here, very excited. :)

Famicom/NES / Annoyance trying to play Famicom games

Thanks for the responses, guys. I'm really trying to avoid ''non-famous'' famiclones because they just too often have that 'half-assed NES' stench to them, though I've always wanted one of those Power Joy pads, so I'll definitely keep an eye open for them.

There's a copy of 'stack up' on ebay which is apparently almost always supposed to have a converter.. it's like 35 buncks including shipping... But after 4 unsuccessful game-converter-cartridge purchases, I think I'm just gonna bite the bullet and buy this really overpriced honeyBee that just now popped up. *sigh* one adaptor for the same price as 3 rare Pirate Fami games =/ Oh well, that's what I get for being a collector I suppose. :P

Famicom/NES / Annoyance trying to play Famicom games

So recently I got 3 famicom pirate cartridges, and I was eagerly awaiting 4 copies of Gyromite I'd ordered from eBay that had 5 screws/no tabs, so I was hoping at least one would have the built in converter that I'm sure most of you know about. But it's just my luck that all 4 of them did not have it =/

For a while, a seller had a honeybee Famicom to NES adapter for 35 bucks, but I checked and it is no longer there. I got a famiclone from Volumerates a few months ago.. but.. it's just flat out awful.  Glitchy as hell with horribly messed up music, which for me makes it unplayable.

So, here's my question: Where can I find either a decent famiclone, or preferably a Famciom to NES adaptor? I've looked all over eBay, and funnily enough it seems there are loads of NES to Famciom converters, but none the other way around!! >_<

Any help of any kind is greatly appreciated. I just want to play these damn pirate cartridges on a reliable console with my NES controllers!

Bootleg Bazaar / Found a good eBay seller

http://myworld.ebay.com/milkhunter88/

I picked up copies of Master Fighter II, Super Fighter III and the DBZ Super Butoden 2 pirate, all totaling to 50 bucks including shipping. What a steal.. Nice to see some of these for their appropriate prices, rather than extremely inflated "$90 a game plus shipping" like ignorant ass westerners do when they sell these kinds of things on ebay.. (please excuse my rage :P)

And, don't bother looking for SMW, the 45-in1, Earthworm Jim 3, Somari (though Family Kid is there) or Donkey Kong Country 4. Maybe I'll send the guy a message asking if he can try and find some of those, since he lives in Thailand. He already respond to a previous message quickly and helpfully.

So yeah, I figured I'd share this find. Maybe if he sells enough he'll go out and buy another lot to put up.

2000-present / Super Mario Wonderful World

Extreme bump, but holy shit that music makes me want to kill people. I wonder why the didn't just change ALL of the sprites.. So damn lazy.

And judging by the yt comments it appears pirates have taken this homebrew and used it, apparently someone has it on a plug-n-play controller.

1993-1999 / Mario World NES/Tagin' Dragon Music?
« on: January 12, 2012, 10:23:17 AM »
Okay. So many of you Im sure know of the game Tagin' Dragon which has absoloutely terrible music on the title screen. The game was made in 1990, according the the copyright notice, which would make it older than the real Super Mario World on the SNES, and thus of course the pirated NES version..  But..

The music on Tagin' Dragon's title screen is a very, very awful version of the ending music in the SMW NES pirate!! I shit you not. Here's a video so you can compare them for yourselves..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTjgKDsArNU

It's not until just now that I realized that tune is nowhere to be fround in the Real SMW.. This is very, very weird. Just figured Id point it out :P

Famicom/NES / Famicom/NES Timing Clock

I stumbled upon this hilarious and creepy video that is worth watching:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jz909NrfHZg

And it got me thinking.. How would one go about speeding up their NES/Famicom clock speed? Playing Kart Fighter "Turbo" would be nothing short of amazing.. I've searched around on YouTube, but this video is all I could really find =/

The whole website just looks messy and cluttered to me, now.. The thing is, it's hard to call this an update.. More of a random, unneeded change. Facebook does the same B.S. as well, no idea why really.

Mega Drive/Genesis / Street Fighter III 18?
« on: October 01, 2011, 10:43:21 AM »
I agree, this definitely sounds worth a play. Do the "new" charachters replace the old ones well, or are they AWFUL like in Mari Street Fighter 3? (misaligned with the ground and such)

I see so many hacks that have nothing to do with the essence of the game, I move a little with photoshop and one time had a photohack Jackie Chan => Dragon Ball
At first I thought this was a real hack.. but see, Pirate developers clearly have the astonishing ability to do hardcore edits on NES games, or even more impressive, program their own from scratch.. You'd think with all the effort it takes they'd at least do a semi-good job of it, and use good idea that would sell, and have reselling value. But no, sadly.. Even though pirate devs are skilled, they 99% of the time also seem to suffer from an extremely low IQ.. It's a shame, honestly.

Apparently they also made an arcade game called Pasha Pasha 2. Assuming this is in fact the same DongSung, of course, and I don't see any reasons why it wouldn't be. (Also, their mascot looks like a lion version of Sonic the Hedgehog. )
I dunno; last time I checked, Sonic didn't wear a bow tie. Also, the sound effect at the start of that plays constantly during the Pasha Pasha 2 video is obviously Homer Simpson, as if nobody would notice. /:
Wow, I think the screaming sound when you lose is an edited version o a death scream from Kill Bill.. but it's been looped to be even longer, so it's like "AAAahhAAAahhAAAahhAAAHHhhh.." at an obnoxiously loud volume.. It actually made me crack up because it was just so unexpected.. Could be used as random earrape in a YTP, that would be gold.

Pirated Work / Custom Pirated Games Central Multicart

Alright, so you've got an awesome games list here, but as it's already been mentioned, it would be practically impossible to get all these different mapper games on to one cart. How about some Hummer/Waixing/Sachen 4-in-1s, or something? I think that might be cool.. Of course if space would allow it, you could mix it up a little:

1 - Somari
2 - Kart Fighter
3 - AV girl fighting
4 - Aladdin

1 - MK 2 Special
2 - Super fighter 3
3 - Waixing's Link to the Past
4 - SF Alpha Zero 2 '97

Just as an example of 2 NES multicarts I'd f#@&ng love, if they were ever made :P

EDIT: Wow, I somehow missed the last 4 posts before me. Do you think 12 on one cart would be possible? Most multi's I've seen that actually have decent games are usually 4-in-1s.
