Wow, nice find! And the unravelling of titenic continues.. Those are actually very cool ideas for enemies on a NES adventure/fighting game!

well i think NT carts are pretty common in Russia, you might find some of the originals they published. or maybe something by Sugar Softec, or one of Hosenkan's originals.. but yeah, the majority will just be generic multis and single game pirates I guess.
Yeah, but at the prices they were asking (tiny amounts of money), Id be willing to go through a couple "dissappointing" multicarts to find one with unique and good games. I wouldnt expect high quality, just the whole 90's 8 bit gaming thing is my crazk addiction So it'd be no problem to get a few lame multis. At the very least Id have even more SMB back ups... xD

C&E aren't really pirates in the traditional sense(stealing other companies creations and making their own game etc..), they're more on par with the likes of Color Dreams or Camerica on the NES, as in they made original games without a license.
There's no dump of the English Beggar Prince ROM yet, who knows if there ever will be. But you can check out the Chinese version by searching for "xin qi gai wang zi rom" or something like that.
Thanks!

Well, the first one is definitely it but now to think of it, I'm not too sure on the second one. It sounds somewhat similar but I dunno, it could probably be a Jimmy Hart version of it. (An edited version)
I made a video comparing bits of one tune to the other, and I set the NES to pal settings, to slow it down a bit and (most likely) put it in the key the makers intended it to be heard in - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R94DBNvXphc
Even so, I still dont hear the connection I want to believe this but Im still hearing nothing.. the MK4 (or originally, titenic) song is sad-ish, sure, but it starts off with this descending bassline (that is basically the entire version in titenic and Harry Legend) that I dont hear anywhere in Roses theme.. the bass notes move around a bit, but they dont really go down in the same pattern. It just doesnt sound quite as sad, or to me, like its even based off of the same thing. In fact, I think the titenic/Mk4 one sounds reallllllly oriental when compared to Roses theme
Another thing im looking for is the "Near, far, wherever you are" piano bit and I hear no trace of that in the NES verisons either.. Which kinda sucks. But Im keeping an open mind to this thing.

Wikipedia says that the legal action all happened in 1993.
...what the crap.
Well, wikipedia is pretty inaccurate sometimes. This has bitten me in the ass time and time again, in school and out.. >_> I hate when facts are blurry.
But yeah, Fighting Hero 3 is garbage compared to SF3. Maybe two different companies used the same PC interfaces to develop their games..? Though it seems unlikely that they would ALSO use the same sound engine..
How do you 'develop' an NES sound engine anyway? Dont they all just use a noise channel, and the composers choice of triangle, square wave, etc etc.?
I mean the Hummer team games all use the same sound engine, and its obvious, but still.. Maybe its just the fault of the actual composers? Anyway, Im straying off topic, but I'd like to believe SF3 was developed by NTDEC. It would close that hole, at least.
EDIT: Also, this doesnt necessarily prove anything, but the NTDEC games always seem to use stolen music, that is sometimes actually done really well.. Whereas whoever made SF3 hardly had enough musical skill to put a few beeps together and keep them in-key, let alone steal someone elses music

The ending theme to Sonic 3D Blast 5 would rock. Would love to hear an orchestra play it.
The fact it has no rythmatical/musical is what makes it fun to hear played by other people =p
Man, I am trying HARD to get the sm3 special theme down... but musically speaking, that is one of the most technical rythms Ive heard... heres a vid to see what i mean:

Up til 0:17 everythings fine, but then it enters the most off beat, but BARELY still working little 'chorus line' type thing... Holy jesus that pattern is hard to remember.
But, it IS on the way... Ive already got the first 17 seconds recorded
