I feel like I'm a bit late but would you happen to have any screenshots or sprites for the game as a proof-of-concept? :)

I could be wrong, but judging by how the other 14 games on the Maxi 15 got stand-alone releases, I'm sure there was one for Stakk'm in the works that got scrapped. I doubt it would have been released under that name for the Famicom, AVE rebranded several of the games they published (like Sachen's Twin Eagle being renamed to Double Strike) and I'm pretty sure that's one of them.

Also, I'm sure you know this already but I should point out that AV Dragon Mahjang has a different soundtrack, which ended up being remixed for Miss Peach World.

Pirate Talk / Going to Hong Kong for the first time...

I've never been to the far east myself, but from my understanding bootleg stuff in the wild is pretty scarce nowadays. I think your best bet is to try places like flea markets (assuming that's a thing in Hong Kong) and possibly used game stores if you can find any.

Ah, it's from the earlier games. So, is there a deconverter for it? I want to hear the original midi's.
I'm pretty sure there's an NSF to MIDI converter, but from what I recall it won't restore the song to its original version.

Hacker Center / Toy Story (Famicom) Hack

I would have actually fixed that too, but the game has some weird copy protection where if you edit certain graphics then the game won't load. :(

Welcome to the forum.

Just saying, there's plenty of better Hummer Team games than SMW and Somari out there IMO. Try playing games like Aladdin and Donkey Kong Country 4 and you'll see some of the quality stuff they put out. ;)

I remember a couple of my mates at school used to own some Pokémon bootlegs, but I didn't get into them proper until I stumbled on a bunch of Sonic bootlegs while looking up info on the beta versions of the old school legit games. (I was a bigger fan of the series back in 2006 than I am now, you can blame Sonic 06 for that one)

I remember playing Somari out of interest, immediately regretting it because it sucks, and then having a bile fascination for bootlegs until I ended up playing some that were actually decent and getting a revised opinion on them as a whole. Then once I started getting my own money I decided I wanted to get some of them so I can play them off my TV and have a more authentic experience. ;)

Actually, I might have had a chipped PS1 back in the day, but I don't remember using that for anything other than cheat devices.

Super Famicom/SNES / Soulblade vs Samurai Shadow
« on: March 18, 2015, 05:08:14 PM »
If I remember correctly, it is similar to the Soul Blade bootleg on SNES, but I dunno if it's the same game with a different title or if it has different characters.

For some reason, the Lego Batman game reminds me of that Santa Claus Saves The Earth game for PS1 or whatever it's called. Those original games always seem to use the same platforming engine from what I noticed.

I've just found this on eBay. I'm guessing that the seller imported it from China but does seem weird that someone would make a multicart with a whole bunch of Asder games, especially as (I think) all of those games use weird mappers that wouldn't work on a multicart.

Road Hero (road fighter)
Autumn Hunt (duck hunt)
Those names definitely sound familiar. I forgot what clone it was on though, and I think the page documenting it has since disappeared. :(

But theres a way to activate a game with game genie! change the code of the multicart or something!  -_-
I want play this because i'm so curious  /:)
It wouldn't work because from looking through the rom myself, most of the game seems to have been overwritten, including the game code.

I've tried to make a ROM of it but the problem is that only some of the graphics are present, and that's it.

Game Boy / Aladdin 2 GBA HK Original?
« on: November 06, 2014, 08:51:01 PM »
I have no idea what this is. As far as I can tell, it's either a pirate original or a hack of another game I've never heard of.
