I once found an ad for a Gowin multicart in an old Taiwanese magazine, and have seen many companies include ads for their own games in manuals and on boxes
Edit: It was an issue of wolf weekly (aka 疾風快報) from the late 90s. Their url is gamewolf.com.tw
It was issue NO.41 if I am reading this right (I don't know how to read traditional Hanzi)
-
very nice. any scans or screenshots?
-
The one on the magazine I am pretty sure was the same as one of the ads on this (http://www.nesworld.com/gbx-gowingame.php)old nesworld page on gowin. There are a lot of companies that throw in ads for games in their manual, but here (https://m.ruliweb.com/hobby/board/300431/read/30554908?cate=218&view=gallery&page=3) is a neat example. If you scroll down you'll see that Sintax included an ad for Zook Hero 3 in the manual for an ultraman game.

very nice. I wondered what the box art for zook 3 looked like.
-
Here's a picture of the actual box that fcgamer posted so long ago I am pretty sure it isn't visible on this site anymore. The mainland china version of the games is called super rockman, but I don't have a picture of that one's box
-
thanks. I appreciate it. man some of that box are is so cringy.
-
I just remembered a friend of mine asked yy小龙虾 about Super Rockman once and was sent a picture of this box on twitter
-
is there any adds for any of their other games on the backs of the boxes?
-
I have no idea. There probably are some, but I don't have that many pictures of Sintax boxes
-
I honestly haven't seen that much of sintax carts and boxes on line, either. boxes for pirate games seem to be pretty rare.
-
They seem pretty abundant on Xianyu, though I don't know many English speakers that post about finding stuff there
-
maybe thats my issue. I always search english google and stuff like that.

“史上第一片震動格鬥gb卡 7月1日震撼推出”. I guess the Makon distributor also advertised games. On the wiki people no longer consider this a Makon game due to its maker code, but it was definitely sold by the same distributor as Makon’s games, and was even released in a rumble cart. Also it uses their copy protection
