It has been discussed on RX. We think that EHY may be responsible for some of those games due to the fonts and the fact that EHY was still working with Sachen in 1994 so he may have programmed Rocman X (Thunder thing) in 1995.

Yes, I'm sure you guys have a favorite music of a pirate game.

Mine (fav) are (not in order)
Harry's Legend title screen
Super Mario World's ending
Chun Lee music in Street Fighter 2 Zero '97
Yossy stage in Kart Fighter
Underwater theme in Super Mario World.

I hate:
Harry Potter 1001
Street Fighter III musics (all of them)

He checked the board, it says CK-124. which means CK is ANOTHER alias for SC (JY -> SC -> CK)

Garoudesentsu may be their last game. Also, Mortal Kombat II is one of their first game released under JY id. So they probably started while they were still Someri Team and used Garoudensetsu to test some stuff.

Edit: @cheetahmen: SF2Z97 use the same engine and credits Hummer Team, Also the code to access the JY logo is the same for Super Mario World. The JY logo graphics are the same in the other games made by Hummer Team for JY. (except DKC4 but it seems they were running out of time and banks).

A bit worthless but still important to point.

Unless, I'm crazy, on top right and left, there's JY written in black on a pink circle

Yes it does says CK, but if the number is right, then it would be JY-124 or SC-124. My friend is going to open the cart and see if it has any JY id or date (when it was made).
It seems it is a late JY cart but I'm not 100% sure.

I guess some people will this a bit useless, but just to show that JY had Yuu Yuu hakusho in their hand.

We aren't sure that Titenic came first, even if there are stuff about it in MK4. It was probably planned at that time but the project wasn't started at all and Harry's Legend was probably starting too. Or maybe the reverse.

Only the dump will give us enough informations...

I'm trying to get one right now, I've a Taiwanese friend wich is going to make an account soon (when he will be back to Taiwan). So I may get it in the next 3 months.

I can't guarantee it will still be there but we just have to wish :)

I'll also buy a copynes to dump it myself. And I'm pretty sure the board will give us information of when it was produced and who made it.

1984-1992 / strangeness about Street Fighter II..
« on: August 08, 2010, 10:49:28 AM »
Bringing this back to life, I saw some people use again MFII, but we are still not sure...

In SFII (not MFII), there's a debug code wich let us have unlimited health. It was probably removed in MFII because some hacker had released a hack with always unlimited health on.
Also, Yoko didn't fit well in the Chun Lee Stage (SFII) so they probably modified it to Chinese and decided to keep it as it in Master Fighter VI'.

It's more likely the team he had was less good than Someri Team.

I'm pretty sure Jack YEH was involved in SFII and may have programmed SFIII too. Because SFII characters are in the SFIII ROM. It is similar to World Hero and World Heroes 2 was programmed by CONY...

1993-1999 / JY -> SC?

As seen here:
http://s4.zetaboards.com/PGC_Forums?topic=7945107/1/
I didn't know about that multi but it has been a long time I've talked about SC and SC-120 (A). But it follow almost what I wrote:

JY went out of business and/or was bought by a company named SC.
But it seems after few months SC left JY alone and JY then continued with a complete new way to produce boards (but still numbered the same) but without Hummer Team and any other developpers (EHY, etc.). At first they started to send cartridge only to South Korea but in 2003 they remade some cartridge for Taiwan.
