Mega Drive port of Bubble Bobble
« on: June 08, 2012, 03:49:58 PM »
On Ruten, I recently came across this page selling some weird port of Bubble Bobble for the Mega Drive. I'm pretty sure it's not official (the cart itself is certainly pirated, at least) and seems to be completely different to Super Bubble Bobble.

Looks like the Master System port in a Mega Drive cart. The artwork is even the same as the Japanese release (Final Bubble Bobble).

My copy of Super Boy IV is a Master System game inside a Megadrive cart, and it only works on my Megadrive II console since it's capable of running MS stuff.

Interesting how its just a Master System game in a Megadrive cart.

I wonder how many other pirates did this.

I have this exact cart! ;) I also have a Korean Multi Cart which has nothing but Master sytem games on it ported over to Megadrive. Incredibly rare games to say the least!

Korean Multi Cart. Contains the Following games: Toto World 3, Wonder Boy, Fantasy Zone, Kung Fu type Side Scroller, Double Target, Japanese version of Rambo First Blood, Dinosaur Dooley, Black Belt, Action Fighter, Astro Warrior, Choplifter, Fighting Street, Teddyboy Blues, Ghost House, Astro Flash, Satellite 7, Pit Pot, Tetris, Great Baseball, Great Soccer, Super Tennis, Hang On, Machine Gun Joe, Woody Pop, Spy vs. Spy

Final Bubble Bobble. Extremely Rare port to Mega Drive, runs without Power Base converter! If you ever see this cart, snag it! This one in the auction is only the 2nd copy Ive ever seen besides mine!

The Kung-Fu type side scroller is probably My Hero, which is a small kb card game that's usually included on most SMS multi-game pirates.

Is the Fighting Street game you mentioned the SMS version of Jang Pung II?
