Turns out Cheetahmen was absolutely wrong. The Famiclone I was talking about the other day doesn't brings 6 different games, it has 5 different games :P And now, no more off-topics from me.
Close enough. :P
Anyway, I randomly stumbled upon this page (http://www.evg2000.com/html/stand_Alone.htm) while searching for info for the Power Joy Navigator. Found a few interesting things on there (well, interesting to me at least):
Hoyle Family TV Gaming System (http://www.evg2000.com/html/stand_Alone.htm) - Seems to have the standard card and board games, and to me it almost looks Nice Code-like. Then again, it could've been by Hoyle themselves for all I know.
Game City (http://www.evg2000.com/html/stand_Alone.htm) - Yet another N64 controller ripoff, except slightly different. Apparently has 64 built-in games, although given that the first 13 games are highlighted in a different colour, I doubt that's the case. Apparently includes Dragon Ball Z (presumably the Hummer Team game) and Power Rangers. (I'm guessing that's one of the Super Sentai games for the Famicom)
Golden Nugget Casino (http://www.evg2000.com/html/stand_Alone.htm) - Looks a bit like the Wikid plug n play thing I ran into once. Games look like they're by JungleTac and the unit is published by Majesco, oddly enough.
Lara Tennis (http://www.evg2000.com/html/stand_Alone.htm) - That's gotta be one of the weirdest names I've ever seen for a Famiclone. The console (apart from the main unit) looks suspiciously like the Ultimate TV Game I have.
PocketGame (http://www.evg2000.com/html/stand_Alone.htm) - Blatant ripoff of the PS1 with an almost-as-blatant ripoff of the Pokémon logo stuck on the top. I love how the lightgun looks almost like a real pistol.
Power Joy Navigator (http://www.evg2000.com/html/stand_Alone.htm) - Includes the ex-Hummer games as well as Nice Code's junk. I was pondering buying it off eBay, but the only ones I can find are charging over £15 for it which is ridiculous for these games IMO. Apparently includes Hummer's mahjong solitaire game. (Which I'm betting is "Three Country" on the menu) Wondering what the Finger DDR's like myself.
Might have missed some others, but I'm lazy like that. :P

the Sudoku TV game on there seems to have that game too, along with Reversi, Dominoes, Checkers & Backgammon all of which are in VT03 form on the Overmax. There is a sudoku game on there too but its not the same one, and you have to use the second player controller to enter any number other than 6 o_o

i wonder if they were going for Brian Lara Cricket and got their sports mixed up? there was a Famicom port of the Mega Drive version of that game listed on Famicom no Tobira (which seems to have disappeared unfortunately) called International Cricket 2000, or something like "Brain Lara Crieket" on the label. which had baseball players on it. naturally. for the longest time I ignored it because I assumed it was just a hack of some licensed cricket game or other, but it actually isn't.

Well that looks interesting - I've never heard of Underground Mission, Downhill Racer or Navigator .. I guess Navigator is F22 renamed after the console, since theres a screenshot of it but it doesnt appear in the menu (unless its further down somewhere).
i wonder if Finger DDR is the game from that dance mat 3 in 1 on ABABsoft's site? Or I guess it might be Inventor's DDR clone (although probably not the one with sampled music) if F22 is on there.. or even some Nice Code dancing game.
either way those later Power Joys have some interesting stuff on them - i still want to get hold of the 30 in 1 cart for the PJ Supermax, its supposed to come with a 30 and a 60 but mine was missing the 30. I saw one for sale in a Cash Converters that only had the 60 too. I dunno where all the 30s are going. Maybe Trump Grand accidentally (or on purpose) shipped a batch of them out without it.
oh and all your links point to the same place. that website is kinda weird. :D

If there's ones with 30/60-in-1s and another with a 50-in-1, then there might be games exclusive to one or the other. Personally, I suspect that the DDR game is the ex-Hummer Team one myself. Knowing them, they probably ended up reusing music from Titenic and Kart Fighter. :P I doubt it's a NC one, because I think if they did make one, then chances are we'd have known about it by now.
The EVG2000 site also lists a Bicycle card game from TechnoSource that's... pretty much identical to the Hoyle one, at least software-wise. And which appears to be developed by Nice Code as well.
Also, there are a lot of JungleTac consoles on there!

BTW, I just realised that this bloke has a page for Famicom (http://www.evg2000.com/html/famicom.htm) games. What interests me on that page is the 250-in-1. Pity he doesn't show the list of games at all. If I remember correcty, one bloke that I know is selling the same cart and I might get that if possible, partly because it has Bubble Bobble on the label. What's odd about that multi is the font, which I don't recognise from anywhere else. No idea who made it either. I'd have guessed Supervision from the label, but I don't recall them ever putting Bubble Bobble on their carts.
Also, aren't the mountains in the background of the first 1000000-in-1 stolen from Megaman VI?
Just found another couple of interesting things on the EVG2000 standalones page:
- Jollibee Game Box. Appears to have been a kid's meal toy at a Filipino fast-food restaurant. It's a joystick full of Inventor hacks, but different from the usual ones I've seen (possibly made specially for Jollibee?). The stick itself is shaped like one of the restaurant's mascots.
- FOX Sports 7in1. It's actually a rebrand of Qi Sheng Long/Niutai's 16-bit "All Sports". Who knows why 20th Century Fox thought this was worth licensing their brand name to.
That first 1000000-in-1 has something else rather interesting about it: the "Unique Star" branding. Which is basically the exact same logo as Macro Winners' "Game Star" (as seen in "Nuevo Tipo de Computadora", among others).
most/all of those hacks on the Jollibee Game Box are also on ABL's 95 in 1 joystick thing, maybe the N-Joypad too - I think ABL made their own updates of a lot of Inventor's hacks with less engrishy titles, better graphics and (sometimes) just swapped around music instead of terrible hacked music.
& i wonder if Unique Star is really Macro Winners, or just someone ripping off their logo..
anyone know anything about "超级机器人大战终极版" (something like Super Robot Wars Ultimate Edition) for the GBA by Vast Fame?
Sky League is selling a copy here - http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=10155154215& (http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=10155154215&)
& heres a post from someone in 2007 who apparently (going from a google translation anyway) tried to dump it but it has copy protection, same as Vast Fame's other GBA games. there's a rom link but its long gone. http://www.zdnf.com/thread-10746-1-1.html (http://www.zdnf.com/thread-10746-1-1.html)
First time seeing that. I was wondering how long it'd be till another VFame game appeared :) According to the post the rom was still encrypted and not playable.
Edit: Stupid me not noticing taizou already said that pretty much :X

Have to admit, I don't recall seeing any of those before. The first one would be pretty awesome to own though, especially seeing as it's called the "Nintendo Polystation" and apparently endorsed by Namco. What is it with companies using Namco as an alias anyway? First Dian Shi Ma Li, now this POS.
that one attached to a DS is a Famulator Lite I think. Just uses the DS for a screen and controls.
the "Attack of the Clones" one is called "Fami-Compatible" really, that design is quite common in Japan and China.
http://balduin.wordpress.com/2007/04/25/another-famiclone-ive-found-in-japan/ (http://balduin.wordpress.com/2007/04/25/another-famiclone-ive-found-in-japan/)
The one with the DS: CYBER Familator Lite
The last one is just a recent japanese generic clone, nothing interesting
3rd one looks like a generic famiclone from the 90s in Russia.
Come to think of it, I'm sure I recall someone playing that last Famiclone and I believe it came with one of those Famicom Yarou carts. (or at least, multicarts with the same sort of hacks)
Hey! Thanks!

Navigator definitely is F22 then. and theres a screenshot of "Finger DDR", doesn't look like any DDR clone I've ever seen before, so maybe it is Hummer's?
Just came across this Korean 20-in-1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyBGk1iVlJs) for the Super Famicom on Youtube, featuring 19 emulated(?) versions of early Famicom/NES titles and a Tetris remake. The graphics and gameplay look identical to the original versions as far as I can tell (with the exception Balloon Fight which has the Balloon Trip mode removed), but the sound is simply awful. The songs are off-key, some games have the wrong music (i.e. Battle City using themes from Star Force and Bomberman) and in some cases like Super Mario Bros., some of them are missing. Another thing I don't get is the "Soft Bank" copyright on Star Force's title screen. Also weird is that some of the sound effects are also used in Super Big 2 for the Super Famicom. Not sure what's up there, especially since that game was a Chinese pirate and not Korean.

At the risk of making myself look like an idiot, where's the theme from Star Force and several other games taken from?
That's neat, I think this is the first time ever seeing an NES emulator of any sort on the SNES, right? That's pretty impressive.
Yeah, it's a pity that whoever made it couldn't hire a decent composer to remake the soundtracks. :P
There are a few homebrew NES -> SNES ports kicking around, IIRC they're all pretty decent but they lack sound.. I guess it must have been relatively easy to get NES code running on the SNES (I doubt it's emulation as such) for everything except sound. and that Tetris clone is interesting, looks like an entirely new game..

The sound processor, on the other hand, is wildly different... which would explain how the game engine could be ported so easily, but the sound engine not so easily.
Also, between this cart, the Taiwanese original games such as Big 2, and the Gamars copier BIOS, I get a distinct impression that there must've been some dev kit that included the Super Pang sound code.
In that case, I'm surprised that Nintendo didn't end up milking that idea by porting all of the black box NES games to the SNES with updated sound or something.
Also, I'm willing to bet that Super Pang used whatever sound code the Super Famicom/SNES dev kit came with.
Something interesting - my Firecore console which plays mega drive games and also has some famicom games built in, with similarly screwed up audio.

Something interesting - my Firecore console which plays mega drive games and also has some famicom games built in, with similarly screwed up audio.
Sounds like the OneStation, which had carts with Mega Drive and Famicom games on them. Now if AtGames could be bothered to fix the awful sound emulation I'd probably buy of their clones.
yeah I have something similar, as far as I know it has a separate Famiclone board inside (even though the Firecore hardware is actually an emulator running on some ARM based chip, so it could easily emulate the Famicom too.. don't ask me why AtGames do what they do, theyre a weird bunch). The sound seems OK on mine, they're mostly Nice Code games though.
the MD compatibility still sucks though, I was hoping I'd be able to play the Legend of Wukong English version on it because its the only undumped Mega Drive game I own, but it just flickers between a SRAM error screen and the Famiclone menu when I try it.
I want to get hold of one of Qi Sheng Long's portable MD clones, since hopefully they have TecToy chips in them like their 2-in-1 and 3-in-1 systems, but I can't find anywhere selling them. I asked volumerates and they said they'd look into it, no results yet though.
I just discovered something interesting: the music from that weird Colosoftwares famiclone linked in post 42 (http://s4.zetaboards.com/PGC_Forums/single/?p=8058177&t=8143608) is ripped from somewhere else. Namely, Codemasters' "Linus Spacehead's Cosmic Crusade"-- it's tune #5 in the NSF.
I wonder if those were, in fact, actually ported by Codemasters?
Edit: Or it might just be that they hired that game's original composer, Allister Brimble. Wouldn't surprise me; he's done music programming for plug-and-play consoles before.
I don't think Codemasters itself would be involved with making that plug 'n play system. From my understanding, it's relatively easy porting a Commodore 64 game to a Famiclone because of the similar hardware, and a skilled programmer could probably do that on their own.
If anything, what I don't get is the connection between that plug 'n play and the menu it uses. It seems to use some generic menu similar to a lot of the ones that 64scener posted, but those are all generic Famicom multicarts produced by various companies. The composer is obviously different and as pointed out in that post, the background is ripped off.
it seems kinda possible that Colosoftwares hooked up with Allister Brimble somehow, but I think if that music got there legitimately it would have been down to Brimble alone. I don't think Codemasters itself (being a big company at that point) would have got involved with a lone programmer porting his old games to old hardware for a semi-bootleggy Chinese company.
as for the menu, probably just a generic one Macro Winners made themselves, I guess.
Tweeterman287 got his hands on one of those PVP Stations (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8dZqZDXFK8). And alas, "Super Mario Bros. & Felix the Cat" is simply the title screen to a multicart containing both games. (Felix being the official Hudson Soft one, not Dragon's knockoff.)
Edit: Also, the music on the "999999-in-1" cart in the above-linked video sounds like something by Nice Code. I think I've seen that same menu design on a Nice Code multicart, so yeah...

Edit: Also, the music on the "999999-in-1" cart in the above-linked video sounds like something by Nice Code. I think I've seen that same menu design on a Nice Code multicart, so yeah...
The music is reused from that Toy Factory game. I've yet to see the menu used anywhere else (it's probably used on the PVP cart I have, but that doesn't work anyway) aside from an alternate version of that 105-in-1 ROM that's included with the OneBus development kit. Then again, the one used there doesn't work properly because it freezes randomly and crashes when you try to access the last 5 games.
Recently, DealExtreme have started selling (what are presumably) PVP Station (http://www.dealextreme.com/p/2-7-lcd-portable-16-bit-game-console-w-built-in-games-tv-out-game-cartridge-red-114965) systems which run both Famicom and Mega Drive games. What confuses me is the menu on the left in the screenshots; the game names definitely suggest 16-bit, but the artwork is stolen from Sonic 3D Blast 5 as opposed to the game it's based off. As for the other menu, I don't get the "FMB-03" ID on that menu, but I'm guessing there's other versions of the system that have different games. Also, I'm not sure how many games are built-in but it's definitely not 586. :P
There's also an alternate version (http://www.dealextreme.com/p/2-7-lcd-portable-8-bit-game-console-w-built-in-games-tv-out-game-cartridge-green-113885) which has a couple of hacks called Backkom and Little Krishna 3.

Dunno, but I'm curious, I might try buying it. It'll probably turn out to be Yong Yong or something though. ):

I think it might be an original, looks like a SKOB release.
Does anyone have any idea to what this game is? I found it in the 3-in-1 (8096 PCB) ROM. I know it's official, and I know it's Konami, but it was labelled as Return of the Jedi. Any idea of it's real name?

Yeah, I've got it. It's a Pokemon platformer by Yong Yong. You can't get past the first level. Naturally.
I found a plug n play Boxing thing in a local charity shop a few minutes ago; I would've got it but it doesn't seem to have any other games on it. :\
Some game called "Speed Train" (http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=14221593365&) that's labeled as an RPG and released by Li Cheng. Even if it's just a licensed game I'm curious as to what the hell would be called that.
There's a Densha de Go game for the GBC, it might be that.

it isn't, I have it - it's just one of the Monster Race games by Koei. Still in Japanese even.

I know it's easy to find on the internet as a rom but I would like to have it in cartridge form.
Can anyone tell me what company made these carts and what their names are? For reasons unknown to me my Motorola Xoom won't let me copy and paste words on taobao. Thanks.

Probably some N64 they used in shops as a demo.
It was attached to the side of an arcade machine at my local bowling alley
Looks like a memory card slot - a bit of googling suggests NFL Blitz let you share save data across the arcade and N64 versions, so I guess it was for that.

What game is this? I'm trying to find a copy of Mewtwo Strikes Back for my collection, and these carts seem pretty common. Any ideas?
It's a generic Pokemon Yellow game, as the listing title implies. The games named after official Pokemon GBC games are usually that; very rarely are they a bootleg original. You'd have better luck searching for versions that weren't official GBC/GBP games like Ruby, Sapphire, Pearl, etc. For added help, I know that the Chinese character for Pokemon the game uses is "寵物小精靈" if that helps any. I forget what the rest of the Chinese name is; I swear I had a scan of the cart from a while back that I can't find momentarily.
Edit: Oh, by the way...Are you looking for a copy just to own or to make a working dump out of? I sold off my cart of the game a while ago, but I remember who I sold it to. If it's for dumping, I could message him and see if he'd be willing to send the game for dumping.
Right. Thanks for that! I was actually gonna add it to a list of things to order, but now I know it's just Yellow. :)
Well it's not really a what's this? But I found it pretty interesting. Has anyone seen this before?

Which Digimon Pocket exactly? Makon Soft, or Yong Yong? :\
I guess you mean "Makon or V.Fame". It's the V.Fame RPG. In fact, I have yet to actually find a copy of the Makon game. I even got one that had Pokemon on the cover and the game was just an unaltered release of the V.Fame title (post here (http://s4.zetaboards.com/PGC_Forums/single/?p=8134499&t=8159149).) Yep, the MD Pocket Monsters-style Makon games are pretty rare on Taobao.
Whoops, sorry.
I might look into getting a copy of the RPG, but I need to actually make up my mind on what agent to use. :P
Could this digimon D4 cart possibly be the same as the one Qiezei has? You know, the one with Pokemon vs digimon? http://a.m.taobao.com/i10261432531.htm?sid=853fc159c54d5f36&pds=fromauc%23h%23shop (http://a.m.taobao.com/i10261432531.htm?sid=853fc159c54d5f36&pds=fromauc%23h%23shop)
I also found this while looking on taobao. Second row first game on left. What could it be. Also the seller was selling this for like ¥5.00 Does that mean that they want ¥5.00 per cart or the whole lot? Has anyone ever bought from a taobao auction like this before? O.o OK what I could glean from this 游戏卡 看 中什么卡请留言 is that you have to contact the seller to say which game you want. Has anyone used their taobao agent for this before?

not 100% sure what that game is, but the title is 口袋怪兽 明珠 Pokemon Pearl - I have a cart from Li Cheng with the same title and its just a translation of Pokemon Trading Card GB2. the characters on the label do look like the characters from that game, so maybe it's just that.

1. Uh, its Li Cheng, thats for sure. Possibly Digimon 3 Crystal? (Vast Fame)
2. Looks like a multicart, because I see Rockman in the bottom corner. Maybe it is the hack, but TBH I don't know much on hacks. :(
yeah the first one is definitely Digimon 3 Crystal.. and the second one seems to be a 2 in 1 with that Gamera title hack and Rockman World 2 (i'm 99% sure thats what it is, anyway, its the same logo as on my cart - and it usually comes on 2 in 1s, I have it with some Yu Yu Hakusho game)

The top row game looks like a SKOB title (not sure which though) and the second row looks like a generic of Pokemon Blue. I've seen that side text "GEMA YOB COLOR" on generic bootlegs of the regular Pokemon games. There's something in the bottom-right corner of the top game that kinda looks like the Sintax logo, but I think it might just be Chinese.
the SKOB game is called Pokemon Card Plus (or something like that) and its really bad. I bought it from that same listing, so unless the seller had two they don't have it anymore.
Sounds like that Pokemon card pirate I got from SKOB too.
What's the weird game bottom right first image? http://a.m.taobao.com/i17516435302.htm?sid=51d228084e89c278&abtest=8 (http://a.m.taobao.com/i17516435302.htm?sid=51d228084e89c278&abtest=8)
Also maybe Mani 4 in 1 in bottom right third image
Not sure, the title says New Pokemon Gold so maybe its just old Pokemon Gold. And yeah thats the same Mani 4 in 1 I have, just in better condition.
How do you buy from these auctions on taobao. I know it's not that cheap for the whole auction. Do you just tell your taobao agent which game you want?
Yeah pretty much.

I'd recommend putting auction titles through Google Translate before asking since sometimes it says right there ;)
They're both Pokemon Green with a no poison hack or something.
After I translated them they both said Pokemon green. But then I found a D's Pokemon platinum one from the same seller and it also said Pokemon green at the end: Pokemon: "the Platinum stand-alone computer game software Pokemon Green" according to Google translate. The other two have similar translations but are actually for gameboy.
Edit: Oh sorry Barver. When you posted I was already writing something else and didn't see it.

I think bootlegs of official games like that tend to be generics unless they have a proper company associated with them (a la Li Cheng). No doubt that's a generic, it's more of if it's a high quality bootleg or a cheap one (the better ones tend to have full-sized boards, btw.)
Bottom row last game on the left. Is that a legitimate cart mold? It's probably a legit game right. The mold interests me. http://img2.mlstatic.com/s_MLB_v_O_f_4019536535_032013.jpg (http://img2.mlstatic.com/s_MLB_v_O_f_4019536535_032013.jpg)
Yeah, that's legitimate. I've seen it before. ;)
Is this ps1 or famiclone because it says ps1 in description but it shows a disc and cartridge. Which confuses me. Here it is. (http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=th&tl=en&u=http%3A//www.b2bthai.com/search/product/detail/102499)
It's a famiclone that's shaped like a PS1. (I'm guessing the disc is used like an N-Joypad, with an in-built multicart.)
the description says its a cartoon VCD. prob some random bonus they throw in, I doubt the console plays VCDs.
What game could this be? http://goods.ruten.com.tw/item/show?21301216333218 (http://goods.ruten.com.tw/item/show?21301216333218)
Could be Pokemon Gold and Silver with an emulator. At least, that's what the colours and sprites tell me.
This kind of looked like it was bootlegd off of pokemon but I don't know for sure that it's a real game and that a couple of the characters look like pikachu and squirtle but maybe that's just wishful thinking. Anyways, what are the opinions? http://76tn05wjd.tistory.com/614 (http://76tn05wjd.tistory.com/614)
It's some Korean RPG, nothing pirated. (then again, you can't have bootleg PC games. No licenses are needed to distribute PC games.)

It can still be a "bootleg" if it infringes copyrights by stealing characters or whatever (though it could also be a fangame depending on the intent and cost.)

What game is this? I can't get it to load. It's for famicom

Also, does the robot have a penis?
I think it's just a Chinese translation of official Robot War, but I can't confirm. :\
Box says Super Robot Wars 2, seems like a good bet it's just a translation.
Blue dinosaur creature shown fighting shishigami on the back of my Pokemon jade pocketnes hack. What could it be? Because it's definitley not sandshrew like it says on the box. :D

The second image in the listing shows that it's a GBC Ganbare Goemon game. Nothing special (even though Ganbare Goemon's a good series.)
oh I've seen that a few times and I was wondering what it was. Looks like its even the English version.
Crap, I never saw the second picture. D: Sorry.
anyone know anything about this?

kinda looks like a keyboard Famiclone, but it has a floppy disk drive, and an included disk + cart.. any ideas?
Three sintax GBC games. Don't know which they are. http://a.m.taobao.com/i14800380752.htm?sid=12b94c9b3d866b0c&pds=fromauc%23h%23shop (http://a.m.taobao.com/i14800380752.htm?sid=12b94c9b3d866b0c&pds=fromauc%23h%23shop)
The first one's Metal Slug 2001, the second I'm pretty sure is that Pokemon Platinum game that Taizou showed off, and the third one I think is True Three Kingdoms, though I'm not entirely sure on that.
Holy crap that's actually pretty cheap! Any way to get into Desktop mode from the Mobile Taobao links though? :\
You can just search the auction's title in Google and it's the first result. That mobile thing does annoy me a bit.
Thanks! :) Oh and the third one is the Zhen San Guo Wu Shuang 2 game, I think.
There's a "PC version" link (标准版电脑版) but it just sends you to the homepage. which is annoying! and so many websites do it.
I think the last one is Bynasty Warriors 5 btw.
What is this game? I translated the title and still don't know it. I remember hearing that it's a Pokemon game? Oh and I'm sorry about the mobile version but I'm always on my tablet when I'm on here. http://a.m.taobao.com/i1441841483.htm (http://a.m.taobao.com/i1441841483.htm)
It looks like a Gameboy game to me. It is by the notorious Waixing though.
If it's the one I'm thinking of it's not really a Pokemon game, it's just named like one.
Has anyone ever seen this game before? I feel like i've seen this game but I am not entirely sure. :p

the one in the pic i *think* is a translation of one of the regular Pokemon games, not 100% sure though

The EVG2000 site also lists a Bicycle card game from TechnoSource that's... pretty much identical to the Hoyle one, at least software-wise. And which appears to be developed by Nice Code as well.
Also, there are a
lot of JungleTac consoles on there!
So many of 'em to shove into AV Jacks. O.o

I've just found this on eBay. I'm guessing that the seller imported it from China but does seem weird that someone would make a multicart with a whole bunch of Asder games, especially as (I think) all of those games use weird mappers that wouldn't work on a multicart.
hmm i guess someone was able to hack the Asder games to work on MMC3 .. but a lot of stuff doesn't make sense about this cart. especially the packaging.
like the company name given on the back is "Wiioscoo Technology Co. Ltd", but the only references I can find online seem to imply it is/was a scam operation, pretending to sell electronics at cheap prices but never actually shipping anything; the address and phone number are actually for Netac (a legit company) but it looks like Wiioscoo had used them as fake contact details at some point.
so why would a company that presumably never existed and was made up to scam people on the internet also get into the business of manufacturing real famicom multicarts? my hunch is they didn't - the box and label were probably made either by the ebay seller or by some taobao seller they bought the carts from, and they just pulled the Wiioscoo company details off some random website to make it look more "real", or at least more like a real mass-produced pirate product rather than a homemade one (little did they know they'd taken the name of a scam company)
and as for whether the cart pcb itself was a homebrew-ish effort by the same person as the box/label, or if it's actually being mass produced somewhere and they just repackaged it.. i have no idea. mysterious.
(come to think of it, it's also v unusual for a modern boxed pirate cart to come in a cardboard box rather than one of those mega drive-style ones made out of the cheapest plastic in the world)
As a random aside, the bar code on that multicart (671860013624) officially belongs to the CD "The Assemblage" from Cryptogramophone... but, judging from a Google search, it's also appeared on some very dubious-looking bottles of steroids. And possibly a voltmeter for electronic cigarettes.
...This just keeps getting weirder and weirder, doesn't it?
Also, that menu screen is kind of interesting in itself-- it uses both the Bubble Bobble 2 font (as frequently seen in Nice Code's stuff) and the PC Paint text font (rarely seen in Nice Code's work, but frequently seen in other companies').

but yeah, as for the fonts, that's certainly a weird combo - the Bubble Bobble font seems to show up reasonably often in generic multis, but I've never seen it paired with a PC Paint font before.

The carts did come from the mainland though, but apparently some had been circulating around Russia at one point as well, according to some contacts.
Just because Wiioscoo scammed people doesn't necessarily mean that it didn't exist / was only a scam company.
The cart is mass produced, in some quantity, I can tell you that. Also, it includes games from Asder, Sachen, and Waixing.

Oh, and the cardboard boxes are cheaply made.
