Game Boy / Super Mario DX for GBA
« on: March 30, 2013, 06:02:51 PM »
I can't believe how many of these are still being found. This is almost sad.

I noticed Donkey Kong 2 uses a Wario Land 4 background. I think it may be possible the layout for the first stage is based off of the snow stage in Digimon Adventure. Last I recall all of these had the same layouts anyway. Still never figured out how to access that stage in the GBA version, someone oughtta figure that out...

That cart came from the dump no doubt as well. The game never came up anywhere practically, now you can do a ML search and find several in SFC carts.

The negative part of getting stuff dumped :x

IIRC that was just a demo that Twin Eagles Group made that wasn't supposed to be a full game. So in that sense, it's working as it should :P

Paipai is China. There's some proxy sites that do Paipai just like they do Taobao last I remember. Imagine a Google search will lead the way =p

None of their GBC works really made me think of them as too respectable =p Well, some things like that Harry shooter, the Donkey Kong sidescroller and whatever else I may be forgetting might make them seem nice. But the majority of their GBC stuff is exactly the same, just rehashing the same engines with crappy gameplay over and over again. So many of their GBC games use that generic platformer engine you see in Lion King III and Crash Bandicoot.

Next time I go home I might bring back all my Sintax stuff and just sell it lol

Game Boy dumps / (Gba) Digimon Adventure dump
« on: March 05, 2013, 02:51:55 PM »
Yes, some of us know the source =p

I get the idea that SkyLeague is some sort of figure for unlicensed gaming, but this guy is selling copies of ROMs at ridiculous prices. I doubt he'll see this, and even if he did, I doubt he's going to suddenly decide to stop making money just because one of his things he was selling got out there.

I'd recommend putting auction titles through Google Translate before asking since sometimes it says right there ;)

They're both Pokemon Green with a no poison hack or something.

I must have missed something, never saw any fight posts anywhere.

What unreleased SNES game did you help get out there, btw? I love protos so am curious.

And may as well turn the topic away from whatever negativity is going on here :p

This is one reason why I tried taking the SFT releases off the undumped list on the wiki once, since I can't see us caring about those plus not wanting to incur SFTs wrath since they'll inevitably come down on us =p I went through it once myself by posting the PC version of Beggar Prince somewhere, didn't take long for him to alert a mod and my link to be taken away.

That's definitely NOT what a pirate is. By that logic all fangames would be called pirates :x

A pirate is better seen as an unofficial game that uses another companies copyrighted characters, story line etc. and is being sold without any consent of the original creators. Even then, if someone made a fangame online and was selling it, that still kind of doesn't fit the traditional idea of a pirate. If copies of the game were being produced and sold in Africa or something( :D ), then that'd count though.

Mostly has to be something that's being sold in stores to try to trick the consumer into thinking its an original product to be called a pirate.

Pirate Talk / Pirate ports you'd LOVE to see
« on: February 12, 2013, 11:05:22 PM »
This topic has me thinking, it isn't totally outside the realm of possibility to make our own pirate port on Genesis of something. BasiEgaXorz is a pretty capable program to make Genesis games, and anyone with some programming experience could figure out how to use it and get something working. Granted it probably can't handle doing a complicated game with lots of physics like Sonic, but for stuff like Zelda, it'd work pretty well enough. in fact, anything that'd have to be toned back would just add more to the pirate quality =p

Just throwing that out there. I'm trying to work on a small project but am having issues finding good graphics, since it's a port of a PSX game and the original graphics just take up too much VRAM to be practical :p

Hacker Center / Please some one help with multicart hack!
« on: February 12, 2013, 02:59:17 PM »
You probably should add more details, I'm not sure what it is you want to do. Do you want to hack the graphics of the games on a multicart, or are you saying you want to make your own multicart?
