Title: Hello I'm new
Post by: Drakon on April 01, 2012, 09:38:13 AM
Hi I'm Drakon.  I come from Toronto Ontario Canada.....which is where the scott pilgrim movie is based in.  A lot of scenes from that movie were filmed about 20 minutes walk from where I used to live (we recently moved to another part of the city).  I'm quite the accomplished retro console modders as what started out as a simple hobby has now turned into a small side business for me.  I'm known for my AV famicoms wich all possible upgrades:

AV famicom feature (http://hackaday.com/2011/07/18/hacking-your-nesfamicom-console-for-better-video-and-audio/)

Keep in mind the links in that feature are out of date I've since further improved (and perfected) the video circuit in these machines.  Also I'm pretty sure that writeup links to my old forum which is no longer in use I have a new forum now.

My second best selling product is starfox 1 running at 2x speed with almost no slowdown.  It's a regular snes cartridge that runs on any snes and it uses official nintendo hardware:

I joined this forum because I recently hacked up the street fighter 2 arcade bootleg hack roms.  I got the roms running on a regular cps1 arcade pcb and I even modified the roms to make the games even more fun:

I'm also a huge fan of great homebrew games and amazing hacks like super mario adventure.

Thanks this seems like a pretty cool forum.  Now I just need to better learn how to debug with mame so I can further hack the game instead of just "borrowing" hacked code from the bootlegs.  I think I've gone as far as I can with copying and pasting the existing hacked code.

Were you the same Drakon from RetroJunk? I used to be on there a lot.
I'm Neomysterion, and I like to play and collect games for the old NES, Game Boy, and Super NES. I'm also PGC's biggest Neopets fan, too.
