I'm trying to get a PAL Firehawk copy, and then I'm possibly going to dump the thing.

-Silent Assault (Current NSF lacks ending jingle, if small details like that matter.)
[/quote]When it comes to ripping I'm hardcore as hell.

I remember ripping sound effects for a lot of US and European made stuff, which has all sorts of play and initroutines.

Then I post here it separately.
Can you PM me a ROM of Dr Mario 2?
Can't find it anywhere.

Also that Soccer game seems to use the TOSE (Oeka Kids) driver as well.

It was ripped fairly recently.

I have a tendency to rename dumps, to be more clear. : P

About my Firehawk rip:
That is nothing more than just a shameless changing the 7Ahex offset to PAL.
I noticed that the game dumped version detects what region console the game was plugged in.
So I just renamed the ROM as "Firehawk (Unl) (E) [!]" and it played a semitone lower in correct speed.
I need to fix the tempo in the NSF but that is going to be easy however...

To post something useful too as well...

I recently got this private dump of the European Dizzy (which strangely also detects region).
The guy who sent me wanted to have a PAL NSF out of it, however the tempo correction routine here is very complicated.

3458 NSFs?
If those are not from my archive, then I would love to see them! Just throw me a PM, and I can add them to the rest of the bunch!

Hi everbody!
I hope this is the right thread to post this, if not, then the moderators can lock it up.

I would like some help from you guys, to make a list for myself what pirate games are still not ripped into an NSF file format.
This is my website where I host these files.

I post here a sample what I found long ago from Gil Galad's website (which is no longer exist sadly).

Famicom/NES dumps / Undumped PAL unlicensed games on eBay!
« on: June 29, 2017, 01:47:30 PM »
Very few Codemasters game have region detection, as far as I analyzed their code.
For me these PAL versions would be nice so I could rip their audio code and preserve those.

For example The PAL version of Terminator by Radical Entertaintment is still not dumped, but I doubt they made any effort to make it run normally on a PAL console.

Here is an NSF rip of Shisen Mahjong II.
The big difference between this and other Hummer Team game's code, that it inits RAM address $0301 instead of the usual $0701.

Little updates every know and then: I ripped several other Waixing hacks and stuff, what I posted in NesDev's NSF Request Thread, if anyone is interested.

1984-1992 / Somari Discussion
« on: December 18, 2016, 06:56:20 PM »
Not going to lie to you:

Somari was the very first video game I have ever played and beated back in the days. It is decent conversion of the original Mega Drive game, but it just takes a very long time to get used to the controls, and memorize patterns.

For fixes I can recommend you this: http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/3223/
It fixes a lot of the clipping problems and the music (tough I like the original arrangement by Yí Zhèng).
It is really the ultimate Sonic The Hedgehog experience on the NES.

Found it and... what the literal hell...

6 banks with APU writes and only garbage I could rip so far...
"See this in the unripped TXT file..."

Guess I will rip the NSF a *bit* later.
