Title: Space Fight of Gun, Fantasy of Gun & Abyss of Gloom
Post by: taizou on February 08, 2011, 04:59:13 PM
found this video via lost levels: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8iVoeWYsD4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8iVoeWYsD4)
from a 101 in 1 multicart i've seen a few times before (a Dynavision one i think) - it has these three original games, Space Fight of Gun, Fantasy of Gun and Abyss of Gloom. i've seen screenshots before but this is the first time i've seen them on video.. and Space Fight of Gun uses the character select screen music from Street/Super Fighter III. maybe these are from the same mysterious developers? or someone else that just happened to steal their sound engine. i dunno.

That's certainly a weird multicart. Games 95-101 are all 128kb, and the so-called "Quad Challenge" is Gekitotsu Yonku Battle. No idea what's up with those 3 games, or why they all use SFIII music. Sort of reminds me of Panda Adventure and those sort of games, where they're much simpler than the developer's usual stuff. Also odd that they all seem to be lightgun games.

Seeing Space Fight of Gun sort of made me smile. It doesn't make too much sense for a developer to make about 2 games (not including hacks) and then drop.

found another weird connection to this developer - those Unchained Melody multicarts use the same font as SF3. of course its entirely possible that the multicart maker just stole it, but who knows.

I mean, it sounds fairly similar, but who knows...

I would say that rendition of Summer Wine on the 100-in-1 sounds like it though. TBH though, I'm not even sure if SFIII came before the multicarts, seeing as both were from the early to mid 90's. (I think)

Edit: Here's the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vndVoZnep9M) of that one, BTW.

I had one 94-games-version of this. Do you guys know if is there another name for "Infant School"? It's the second game in that Youtube video.

I'm not entirely sure what the game is but judging by the name, I'd assume it's Urusei Yatsura.

It seems most/all Dynavision/Dynacom multis use the same menu. How much we'll have to wait until those games are dumped, though? D:

By the way, I just found it. The name is Urusei Yatsura: Lum no Wedding Bell. "Infant School" is the name of the first level (congrats, Dynavision!)
