ive recently, for no particular reason, been looking inside most of my famiclones (and other chinese consoles) to see if I can tell anything from the shit printed on the PCB.
these three were pretty expected based on who i already thought was the manufacturer:
iSports: SB-256-H06 2008/8/12 (main pcb) SB-58-H2 2009/3/25 (sub pcb).
SB = Subor presumably
Wow Wireless Gaming: XA-VII-2 2008.6.25 (main pcb, dunno if theres another, i just looked in through the flap).
XA = Xinan Industry Co. Ltd. (Power King HK). and the "VII" makes sense since it looks identical to the 8bit Vii, which they also make.
88 Games joystick: BS-012R4, 04.04.02
BS is in Macro Winners's logo and this joystick was on their website, so that makes sense.
Trump Grand stuff:
Power Joy (earlier model): XD-VTA, 13121 (main pcb) XD-11.PCB (sub pcb)
Excalibur 101 in 1: XD3047 R1.1
I dunno what XD stands for but its on both my TG consoles (well I havent checked my Power Joy Supermax because it was a bitch to get the other Power Joy closed again, but its probably there too) - maybe the initials of their factory in china?
Jungletac stuff:
VG Pocket Caplet: VG4003IC V9, 2006-08-14 VER:09, VG4003-192M
OneStation: M-120 VER:03, TOPPOLY-40P, 2006.08.02
no obvious connection there, I guess they use different codes for each product (VG presumably refers to VG Pocket). one thing that did strike me though is that Jungletac's PCBs look much cleaner, better made, generally more professional than the other companies' shite.
others:
Ping Pong by ABL: PP1100-MB, 061110 - PP obviously stands for Ping Pong, so just a product code again
Famicom yarou 54: XJBL2 - no idea. dunno who even manufactured this thing. theres a similar looking thing on Cheer Tech's website - its not exactly the same but its clearly just an artists impression, so they might have changed the design a bit for the final product.
FC Game Console: TF2309A1 - again no idea, as far as I know its manufactured by Qi Sheng Long though
