Super Famicom/SNES / A Bug's Life, Aladdin 2000
« on: February 17, 2012, 07:36:17 PM »
Don't forget that in A Bug's Life you can jump higher whilst neutral jumping by holding down, jump and then move horizontally. I'm not exactly sure about that, though. In the second level, the grasshoppers are immune to your berries and are instant deaths. I managed to kill the third grasshopper, but then I fell in the water due to forgetting exactly how to jump higher.

I've recently defeated Mantodega Beast on another save file, so I'll see if I can pinpoint the requirements to get the professor to know that you've destroyed the crystal. It seems that talking to the girl at graduate school and the professor isn't enough for the game to properly advance.

Out of jealousy, I really don't want this game anymore. I simply want to send it to someone who could dump it, or has a GBA rom dump utility.

Not worth the trouble, but I was trying to romanize a few character names, as numbered by character select screen from left to right and top to bottom:

2.都比 dou bi
5.龍*二 lóng/tiáo* èr
7.黄香冀*   huáng xiāng jì*
8.小晡 xiǎo bū

*Had trouble making out these characters, or strongly not sure which characters they are.

Shall I remove these from the List of Undumped Games?

The Big Old Arcade / Computer Games you used to play when you were a kid
« on: February 14, 2012, 10:46:57 AM »
Nostalgia time! Here's a list of my PC games, as far as I can remember:

2001
Land Before Time (I forgot which exact one, but it was the one where you could print dinosaur pictures.)

2002
Pig Pen (Wild Tangent)
That racing game that has a blue car and a green car, also from Wild Tangent
Some sort of shooting game with 3D graphics, also from Wild Tangent
Ms. Pac-Man: Quest for the Golden Maze
Pac-Man All-Stars
Tribes 2
Star Wars: Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight
Rocket Power: Extreme Arcade Games (I had to Google "nicktoons skating" just to find out the title!)
Some Reader Rabbit game. I forgot which one, but it had this gray stone monster thing that scared me and made me turn off the computer.

2003
LEGO Racers
LEGO Loco
LEGO Creator
LEGO Creator: Knight's Kingdom
LEGO Creator Harry Potter
LEGO Creator Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
LEGO Stunt Rally Demo
LEGO Racers 2
Cosmi's 201 Solid Gold Games
eGames Collector's Edition 251 (back on Thursday October 30, 2003)
Crazy Drake
Demonstar
Speedy Blupi
Planet Blupi
Blupi at Home
Blupimania II (I dislike this game compared to the original.)
Nicktoons Racing
SEGA Smash Pack 2
Sonic & Knuckles Collection (first time I got to listen to the Sonic CD OST!)
Sonic R (no music)
Sonic CD (couldn't get this game to work, so I purchased it on PSN last year)
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (Real Arcade)
eGames Entertainment Pack

Ending to be achieved for those new dumps soon. And possibly playthroughs of them.

It's the Wii version I'm talking. I tried a version that allows you to create tool-assisted superplays, but the rom doesn't work on that either, giving me the error "Board type not supported". The least I could do is look into its tiles and saw what appears to be Kid Niki or something.
Tool-assisted superplay? In fact, it's called Tool-Assisted Speedrun (also known as TAS). And the only emulator that supports that feature is FCEUX. If you want to download it, the latest version for now is 2.1.5.
Not to argue, but if we're talking about fighting games or whatever TAS strives mainly for entertainment and not speed, that's the term I use.

Maybe you need to update your FCEU version, http://cah4e3.shedevr.org.ru/fceultra.php :)
It's the Wii version I'm talking. If only there was a standalone rom of Super Popo's Adventure, so I could try it on FCEU GX. If I try He Jin Zhuang Bei 150-in-1 Real Game on that emulator, it throws an error complaining that the file size is invalid.

Which neither of those is the case for me. Is it just me, or did Amazon stop selling R4 cartridges?

Edit: After some Googling for "r4ds amazon" it turns out that they did.
