It's still got the CPS-1 chains, more reason to play it.

Mega Drive/Genesis dumps / Pokemon II (Unl) ROM

Enjoying that Puzzle Bobble voice and the music each consisting entirely of a PCM sample while the pitch temporarily decreases when another PCM sample is playing. It seems similar to Pokémon Crazy Drummer in the sound department. So far I recognize the music from Cool Spot and CPS-1 Street Fighter II.

Ah! This reminds me of this one M.U.G.E.N game I created prior to Mugen 1.0 called "NES Fighting Evolution". It featured Nightmare from Kirby's Adventure as a boss character. Too bad that some characters I created for it are now forever gone since my accidental hard drive format.

As for Famicom Fighters, the logo is just fine. How's progress on Megaman? Why is Z the Special button as opposed to C? I like how you can view the commands list by pausing the game with the Start button. Would make a combo video.

Mega Drive/Genesis / Pokemon Stadium MD?

Aw man! I used to have the ROM to the Mega Drive version already patched back in 2009, but I don't know where it went. I know for sure that I burned it into one of my CD-R's to use on an emulator for the Dreamcast, but since I no longer have that, chances are I can't find that CD. Maybe I might look for it some time.

As for how I managed to get my hands on this ROM, when I posted a video about looking at the tiles within the SNES ROM in Tile Layer Pro, someone posted a comment that contained a link to the Mega Drive version (I forget his name, of course).

I remember that someone posted a code where you can fight the other Pokémon besides Dogars under control of of the computer.

Look at that collection in the background, I am so jealous of you. Nice! Can you record some footage of this if possible?

Game Boy / Rockman 8, a hack?
« on: April 22, 2012, 09:59:07 PM »
The sound engine doesn't even sound similar. I think Rockman 8's audio is more akin to those Sonic Gameboy pirates. Someone prove me wrong! Then again, there must be a different Rockman 8 on Gameboy before I re-check the Wiki...

Speaking of Genesis Plus GX, Super Bubble Bobble worked well on that emulator.

Don't you "No" me! But I only played it very briefly and decided to jump to conclusions too soon...

Just played through the first level again and it turns out you're right. All I get next is a black screen with another tune and some sound effects playing. Now to look for a way to prevent that so the second level could load properly...

This ROM doesn't ring a bell, right? Because I could play the first level just fine.

Famicom/NES dumps / fk23ca rockman 6 in 1 dump
« on: April 18, 2012, 12:44:41 PM »
I actually do own a Rockman 6 in 1 cartridge that cost $95. The label shows Rockman X3's boxart, while Rockman 2-5 are using their Gameboy version cover art, and Rockman 6 has Rockman 7's cover. Also, in Rockman 3 you start with 30 lives while Rockman 4 grants you 15 lives and a different opening logo which consists of the Robot Master select screen in blue and yellow.
