Mega Drive/Genesis / Power Rangers Fighting Edition +ROM
« on: June 20, 2014, 11:29:58 PM »
Sorry to bump this old thread. Try canceling Ninja Megazard's forward dash into his Spinning Attack (HCB, C) and see what happens! This bootleg's so problematic! Ninja Megazord and Lipsyncher both use the exact same colors for Player 1 and Player 2, which means they'll appear exactly alike in Mirror Matches. Aerial attacks cannot be performed mid-jump - you have to basically press up and B or C at the same time.

But still, for some reason I really dig that VS Jingle. Good thing there's no Ivan Ooze either. Oh, and is there topic where you can show off glitches in bootleg games?

Pirate Talk / Pirate ports you'd LOVE to see

I've dreamed about a Mega Drive port of Kirby Super Star, which would use the same sound engine as High Seas Havoc.

Mega Drive/Genesis / Pokemon Stadium MD?
« on: June 05, 2014, 07:46:14 AM »
Here is a MediaFire mirror of the patched ROM that Gafe shared. This video just modifies RAM. For an easy win, I recommend choosing Gengar because his Lvl1 attack deals 20 points of damage or use the code 00100C:0002 to start off against Windy. It seems that Stage 2 is the only Stage that causes the game to reset - all the other Stages do not have this problem.

Edit: Whoops, that ROM still resets upon starting the 2nd match. I'll see if I can circumvent this issue.

Hacker Center / I need help please

I don't know how to make an INI file and find out all the offsets in order to make Leaf Green compatible with Advanced Pokémon Icon Editor. To locate the icons in Tile Layer Pro, Goto offset 00D30200 for Gen I Pokémon, 00D98C00 for Gen II Pokémon or 00DDD600 for Gen III Pokémon. I personally prefer playing the secondary Pokémon versions (i.e. Blue, Sapphire, Pearl) for some reason.

Advanced Pokémon Icon Editor doesn't appear to come with an INI file for Sapphire or Leaf Green. At least you can see the icon graphics in Tile Layer Pro, but editing them that way would be a hassle.

@ClassicGamer: Not yet, we got someone working on that though.

@Smedis2: Sorry, I'm trying to not include any characters from other media sources.
I don't think Popeye would be in.

It might be a good idea to create some concepts before showing off progress. I'll probably try that later. I'm very reluctant with working on my own games, though.

Famicom/NES / Super Mario & Sonic 2 problem?

It seems that no one has hacked it to make the rest of the levels playable. Loading a Rescue Rangers 2 save state doesn't work for me.

Pirate Talk / When did you first come across pirate games?

Back in 2004, when I first started using emulators, there was Sonic the Hedgehog for SNES which was one of the first pirated games I've seen.

80% of the Street Fighter One/II Ports under the US Gold era. Most of them are pure garbage...many of the pirate ports of the NES are better than those!
I agree! I did a video about the PC version of Street Fighter II using Dhalsim and won a double perfect against the first three bosses. X-Men: Children of the Atom for the PSX might also be one of the worst Arcade ports out there.
