When I saw and played the awful pirate game that is Jungle Adventure, it contained things from The Panda Prince even when the main character has been edited into a brown bear. Kage told me that it's not a hack of said game but I would like proof whether this is a heavily-hacked version of it or is it a new game made from scratch but using things from it.

From what I've found, it is based off the Panda Prince engine, albeit f**ked up even more than it already was. I think either Sachen didn't want to just uppin' steal Shin-Shin's game, or it was chopped up to conserve space.
-
Are you implying that Sachen made this game?
-
As far as I'm aware, Sachen basically stole and chopped up the Panda Prince engine by Shin-Shin/K. Now watch as Taizou or Awesome Panda comes and proves me completely wrong... again.
-
Panda Prince was developed by ex-Sachen developers and was published by Shin-Shin. Someone from the ex-Sachen team took the game and made Jungle Adventure out of it.
-
So Sachen made this game... I don't believe it!
-
Well, somewhat. Besides, judging by games like Bao Quin Tang and The Dragon, did you expect it to be that good? :P
-
Judging from the quality I'd say it (as well as Lair's Secret and Magic Block) was made by one person, probably someone who worked at Sachen until 94, then on the Panda Prince team for however long that lasted, who had access to the source code for Panda Prince and Rockball (and whatever the original version of Magic Block was). I doubt Sachen as a company had anything to do with it.

brydorx nice code probably made jungle adventure from scratch instead of reusing other resources.
-
Is there any footage of Jungle Adventure?
-
dunno, but it's dumped on the Super Arcade & D-Cat 100 in 1, both of which you can get from Cah4e3's site
