Well wisdom tree is on BGW. http://bootleggames.wikia.com/wiki/Wisdom_Tree It's games aren't pirated but they are original ideas and not hacked games. They aren't licensed by nintendo. So aren't all games not licensed by Nintendo, original ideas, not hacked from random games, aren't all the games with these requirements basically homebrew and unlisenced? Xanver, with the homebrew in the cart, which is an unlisenced game, wouldn't it be part of unlisenced/pirated gaming?
Wisdom Tree is unlicensed, fyi.  They're a part of Color Dreams and neither got a license from Nintendo to make games for their system.

Game Boy / Binary Monster by Gowin on a GBA SP?

Welcome back.

I actually have a similar problem with Magic Lamp; it will only work on a Game Boy, GB Pocket, and a GB Color. It does not go past startup on Super GB, GBA, and GBA SP.

Qiezei got his temporary copy of the English version to work on the Game Boy Player; I guess mine doesn't work on said device since it's the Chinese version. I'm still waiting for the day where we can emulate the protection of these games so they'll work on an emulator.
I think I mentioned how I got mine working, but I'll refresh on it:

Taizou explained the Game Boy boot logos on his Neo Fuji page.  Basically, the color systems check the top-half of one of the Game Boy's boot logos needed to run the game.  The older Gowin games use "GOWIN" for a boot logo which edit the logo's top half, preventing it from booting on a GBA system.  The copies with the "HOTKID" logo (such as the English Magic Lamp and Crouching Tiger games I've recorded) only edit the lower half, hence why the logo looks rather sloppy, and is thus allowed to run on a GBA system.

If anybody can explain it better (or more clearly) they're welcome to do so, but that's the general summary of why the issue exists.

But it might be hard to find sometimes.
If you're patient, you'll find an amazing deal.
This is the case for many (if not most) unlicensed games.  It's rare that one's readily available, but when one is available they don't tend to be much.  After all, I didn't pay much for my Game Boy stuff (such as the SKOB and V.Fame games) but it took some time before they showed up on the website.  Collecting bootlegs is partially a waiting game, as it took years to find some of the stuff I've collected like Zook Z but that was a mere $25.

Bleh, it's overpriced Sky League shit.  You're better off just waiting for a copy to show up on Ruten or something.

Not too recent (like maybe a week or so ago) but I managed to beat Super Aladdin by Super Game.  I had to use savestates for the third level's boss because it's really picky on the hit detection and everything staying on screen.  I also discovered that you can rapid-fire jump up walls, allowing me to skip half of level 3.

Judging by the cart it might be, though I notice it doesn't seem to have the "D-5" on the cart similar to my copy of Digimon D-3.

Some fellow on Yahoo Taiwan's got Capcom vs. SNK, aka that Makon fighter, and a loose cart of Crazy Monopoly for anybody who's into that great game.  ;)

Game Boy dumps / Water Margin animal (rare vast fame)

Six rows down, four from the left.  It's only in that one area of the forest maze, which was really annoying for me when I tried playing it before.

I don't *think* so, but I do it anyway.  It might contribute to a "good ending" of the game like in Shi Kong Xing Shou.  There's a code where you can start a new game with maxed out items and money that make monster catching much easier.

Oh, you need to catch all the monsters available then enter the second room of the house north of the forest maze.  One of the monsters you need is only available in that area where you got the fire dragon; it's an Oddish-looking creature.

Those hacks were works in progress (and many of them stopped working on them after finding out about the pirates) so that would explain half the issues such as blank text boxes and such.

Quit playing devil's advocate. I'm shocked to see this from you Qiezei when on Boulevard I can recall you being frustrated with how Brydo treated things.
He made some mistakes, but it's old news now.  I'm not saying I forgive him or that I hold it against him, but is it really necessary to harp on old, dead drama?

If people let it, anyway. I've wanted answers from Brydo for a long time for what he did and I never got them.

If he wants to talk to me in private, I will be more than happy to accept. Until then, why not show people his wrongdoings? He made a public ass of me every chance he could at RX all the while allowing his privileged group of irate hooligans to do whatever they want (Aaron and Indy).

I got in trouble once for calling Aaron a "wino" because of how often he'd come on the forum drunk and incoherent but him saying I'm "licking Brydo's ass" for a week straight took over a week to get him banned. (even then, he ONLY did it because the active members were threatening to leave because of his belligerence)
Well, nobody's getting anal about him in this thread aside from you.  And again, it's all stuff that's happened on a now-defunct message board a good year or so ago.  Everybody's moved on from it and I'm sure hardly anybody cares anymore.  I just don't wanna see this turn into the R.I.P. RX Comm thread.

Is this gonna devolve into a angst-fest?  The RX Comm's been gone for a long time now, let's move on already.

Super Mario Bros. Deluxe for the GBC..it was good when it was the only version available, but it soon became ugly and nasty...
I thought it was a good port. The only issue I found is that the screen is cropped, and that's really the fault of the hardware.
I actually thought it had better controls than the original NES game.  The only thing wrong I could find playing it was what Ronny said.
