2000-present / 23 + 222-in-1 Problems.

Could you be a bit more specific?  I know some bootleg Famicom carts have thicker boards in them that make them more difficult to insert/remove.  It's also possible that maybe the board is facing the wrong way inside the cart, so you'd have to flip it around.

You could've just posted what was in the link here.  There doesn't seem to be anything in your post that would be unacceptable here.

Pirate Talk / When did you first come across pirate games?
« on: July 15, 2013, 12:48:36 PM »
For me it started when I found out about Jurassic Boy 2 and Sonic 7 at the Secrets of Sonic Team website, since I was a huge classic Sonic fan at the time.  After that, I found Brydo's channel which introduced me to other games like Digimon 02 Jade and it grew from there.  Even though I don't really consider them a big favorite nearly as much anymore, I found Sachen's games to be rather fun and quirky back then, and then the rest is history.

It's not nearly gnarly enough to be celebrated.  Anyway, thanks for all the years of awesome (and not-so-awesome) games NES!

A CIB copy of Little Red Hood for the NES up as a penny auction on Ebay.  Looks like the guy got fed up with nobody buying it for the original $150/$200 price tag.

Alright, maybe I'll take a look there and see if I can find anything.  I'm just thinking of CaH4e3 off hand because he's the only one I really know of and who I'm familiar with.

Not bootleg related, but still interesting: a sample cartridge of Magical Doropie for the Famicom!  The game itself is a late prototype of the Japanese game.  The main difference is that there's no Round 5 in the game, not even in the stage select.  When you reach the level, it plays the intro eye catch like normal, then fades to black and hangs there.  Aside from that, the only other things I've notice different are two enemy placements, a small graphical glitch in the intro, and none of the final game's cheats work.  The Japanese on the label says "Magical Kids Doropie, Vic Tokai Co."  I'm planning on getting this dumped, probably by CaH4e3 since I can't think of anybody better.

I nearly managed to finish the regular version, but that final boss is almost impossible from what I remember. :(
It's a crazy fight, and I've gotten there in the regular version but never actually beat it.  The boss randomly teleports around firing huge spread shots that are very hard to dodge, and it takes a bunch of hits to kill as well.  It's hard to really fight effectively, and even the last level itself is bad with the fast moving enemies and their placement.  Definitely not one of the "classics" on the multi.

Finally managed to beat Turbo Magic Carpet 1001 on my Asder multi.  If it weren't for the magic lamp in the last stage I would've been screwed.

I also tried to beat Honey Peach on my NES system as well (with passwords of course) and...well...it didn't end well.  Fuck you Sachen.
Leave all that to me. Masochism FTW.
Gladly.  Also I didn't expect to get this much drama over a one-off thing that I realized shortly after to be a bad idea.  Broken (design and programming wise) adult games made in under a week are truly the holy grails of bootleg gaming.

Today I finished AV Pachi Slots on my NES.  Those slots games are more of a war of attrition than anything else.  I also tried to beat Honey Peach on my NES system as well (with passwords of course) and...well...it didn't end well.  Fuck you Sachen.

Got this today in the mail.  Twenty Asder games including the Caltron 6-in-1 games and more (such as JP Ronny. :P)  And it's not even the biggest thing I'm getting in too (though it may be to some.)  Proper scans of it will come later on.
