SpaceNinjaFeb 16 2011, 06:23:52 AMYou don't need an invite code.I got that game, if you guys want it.
really? i can't seem to register without one. it seems to have been a recent change though, theres an announcement from the 5th about them closing public registration or something. But yeah, if you have it, i'd appreciate it.
taizouFeb 28 2011, 03:39:15 PMNo idea who or what Maoshan is though.
Presumably, that's either the bloke who dumped it or one of the people who did the port.Another thing I find funny is that "Exerion 2 Cult Version" which seems to be the exact same thing as the Nintendoage release except their mark on the title screen was removed. For whatever reason though, it still says the game was made in 2009.Edit: Not exactly important by any means, but that 50-in-1 has got to one of the laziest multis I've ever seen. Only 4 24Kb games and an incredibly plain menu. The only good thing about it is that the game names are spelled right.
taizouFeb 28 2011, 03:39:15 PMmostly already known stuff but theres one interesting thing i've never seen before, "shark shark by Maoshan", which is a port of the Intellivision game. its not the exact same port used on the Intellivision plug & play and subsequently turned into "Fish War" by Nice Code, but it seems like it might be an earlier version - its missing some of the sound effects from the released version, for example, but the ones it does have are identical. No idea who or what Maoshan is though.
Hm. Reminds me of that one TechnoSource console that had what seemed like beta versions of some of the various Waixing-commissioned games.
KAGE-008Mar 26 2011, 05:16:58 PMI found a new dump. It's Dragon Knife on the NES. Here's a link for the game:http://www.mediafire.com/?n64ugrl6496ga6a
Interesting find. :thumb: Looking at the game itself, I notice a few things right away. The sound engine is taken from that company that did Super Contra X, Aladdin II and other such filth (the name is incredibly long and in Chinese), the font for the numbers is taken from Family Basic and the game itself is basically a poor man's Double Dragon. What's rather funny is that this seems to be the full version and not some cut-down one that you would expect to find on one of Waixing's Famiclones, as the ROM is 512Kb.Edit: Out of interest, where did you find this ROM?

So assuming this was originally released by Waixing, perhaps this was one of their earlier games when they still had those people on staff?
