Title: China has fake Harry Potter books too!
Post by: codeman38 on July 19, 2011, 02:39:00 PM
From "11 Points", a list of 11 fake Harry Potter books that have been published in China (http://www.11points.com/Books/11_Amazing_Fake_%27Harry_Potter%27_Books_Written_In_China).

Amusingly, one of these books is even the literary equivalent of a lazy sprite hack. It is, quite literally, The Hobbit but with character names changed.

Well I don't read books due to my inherent illiteracy (and by illiteracy I mean laziness) but if there was an "Unlikely Harry Potter Sequels" on Mock the Week then the plots to these books should be the answers. :P

I wonder if there's one where Harry beats up overweight people and Voldemort on his way to Hogwarts by kicking them. :P

Huh, never knew there would be bootleg books before. Harry Potter and Platform Nine-and-Three-Quarters sounds a bit interesting but everything else is just hilarious.

"Harry Potter and the Half-Blooded Relative Prince" Seems like a great book. I mean, really. I haven't read all the books yet (I'm only at sorcerer's/philosopher's stone D:) but it would be interesting the read.

"Harry Potter and Platform Nine-and-Three-Quarters" Also looks good, but it's just book 1 rehashed in a first-person view.
